Unfortunately this did not work. I have updated Spasalon to Version: 2.1.3

I find I still need to use the plugin ‘Enable jQuery Migrate Helper’ set to jQuery version Legacy 1.12.4-wp for the menu on mobile phones to work. Even having this plugin set to wordpress default does not make the menu work.

Everything else is working as before except for the menu on mobiles.

Does the latest update (2.1.3) fix the jQuery problem?

It was the name of the child theme that caused the problem. I had named it Spasalon_child instead of Spasalon child

I found the answer!

The child theme name MUST be Spasalon child

I solved it. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. I didn’t quite make it clear what I was hoping to achieve.
It’s actually the background and focus of the dropdown part of the menu I want to change.

Obviously the theme developer has a copyright protection built in that activates the red warning box that says “Please return following links to the footer:
