In reply to: Theme editor not workingHi Esmi,
Thank you for your response! I was trying to edit the theme to simply see if I could… however, I do understand what you are saying.
So, created a child theme and am able to edit the CSS there. I’m also able to edit any of the other files (child theme or original theme).
However, I can’t edit the CSS of the base twenty twelve theme, twenty ten theme, twenty eleven theme or any of the genesis-framework themes. I double-checked permissions for the css files and they are set to 777.
I also checked my error log files and there weren’t any errors pertaining to my situation.
I’m definitely stumped on this one!

In reply to: Changes not sticking! So for instance, if I was going to make a blog post and I wanted to add spaces between text and a picture, I couldn’t do that? Forget the HTML part of it. Let’s say I *just* use the WYSIWYG editor to change my pages. From what I gather, I cannot actually put a couple of spaces in (kind of like double space) in one part of my post? Is that right?
Esmi — if I edit my theme’s style sheet — then I could probably have a separate style for each page, right? So let’s say I have .page-5 (which would be a css selector). Theoretically, I could set the css for page 5 using CSS. Correct?
Thank you so much for the guidance!! ??

In reply to: Changes not sticking!Okay the first part makes sense.
However, when I go back to strictly Visual editor and add spaces between photos, etc., and then update the spaces disappear and everything scrunches back up.
Thank you for the help btw!! ??
I am having the same issue. ??

In reply to: blogger import not workingNevermind. schmidt00 answered my question with his fix:
“I played around in the wordpress code and changed $parser = xml_parser_create_ns(); to $parser = xml_parser_create(); around line 920 in blogger.php
Not sure if that helps the wordpress people make an official solution, but it is allowing me to import again.”

In reply to: I cant able to import blogger ?schmidt00 You just saved my arse. I’ve been looking for a solution for the past two days and just came upon your post! I tried your method and it worked perfectly!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Thank God for this post! I had the same issue. I also tried the force_upgrade.php script but it did not work.
Going into phpmyadmin and fixing wp-admin/options.php and then db_version to 8204 worked for me!!

In reply to: Sorry, no posts matched your criteria…. What?! Help Please!Nevermind. I ended up deactivating all of my plugins and my posts came back. After that I added each plugin back on one by one. When it flipped out on me again, I figured out which plugin wasn’t working and then kept that one deactivated. I’ll reactivate it when and if it gets updated for the new wordpress.
I’m answering my own post just in case this happens to anyone else….
