Here’s a link to the screenshot elsewhere
https://www.beyondbones.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Screen-Shot-2013-02-24-at-7.42.22-AM.pngI don’t see any what to upload a screenshot.
Details:
Caltalyst has a frontend css editor option. When in use, you can edit css in a pop-up window right on the page you’re working on.With Mailchimp activated the pop-up window becomes so transparent as to be useless, so when MC is activated I can’t use the css editor.
Does that make sense?
I have a screenshot but don’t see any way to attach it to this message.

In reply to: Installing WordPress locally – don't understand the instructionsKrashKartMedia,
Thank you for your details but I have some questions after finding this thread. I have the same problem: where the heck is the database setup form?
The first step in your solution is to enter a password. To what password do you refer? MAMP did not make me create a password.
Then I’m supposed to find HTDOCS but when I unzipped all I got were wordpress-3.5.1.zip.cpgz and wordpress-3.5.1.zip.part and if when I open them all they do is reproduce themselves. (A separate but related issue.)
Oh my goodness, this is just crazy! I’ll start a new thread.

In reply to: [Ultimate Maintenance Mode] How long does it take to turn on?Thanks for the speedy reply. I didn’t know I had to log off.
But, omg, my tabs and everything are showing. That’s bad. Is that the way it’s supposed to be?Where would one find ./template/bootstrap/css/bootstrap.min.css?
flexibility3.
I’ve since replaced it with Catalyst.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, you deduced everything correctly, except that I created the folder after creating child page.
I solved my own problem by copying the .js file from parent theme to child. That made the theme options appeared in the dashboard just like in the parent theme.
It would be useful to give that instruction in the installation notes. Everyone needs to know that coping files in the cpanel is required.
Good luck with everything!
Many blessings,

In reply to: Why not have a visual editor like in wp.com?I found this in my help menu so I know I am supposed to have a visual editor.
“Post editor – Enter the text for your post. There are two modes of editing: Visual and HTML. Choose the mode by clicking on the appropriate tab. Visual mode gives you a WYSIWYG editor. Click the last icon in the row to get a second row of controls. The HTML mode allows you to enter raw HTML along with your post text. You can insert media files by clicking the icons above the post editor and following the directions. You can go to the distraction-free writing screen via the Fullscreen icon in Visual mode (second to last in the top row) or the Fullscreen button in HTML mode (last in the row). Once there, you can make buttons visible by hovering over the top area. Exit Fullscreen back to the regular post editor.”
THIS TOTALLY MAKES ME MISS–AND APPRECIATE MORE–WORDPRESS.COM. That visual editor is always there and obedient. Wonder if bluehost will refund me for wasted hosting.
