Hello everyone: I am attempting to create a website, but in the process I have deleted some stuff. Now, I am following a how-to video and some of the things he’s doing, I can’t duplicate. I think I deleted some stuff while trying to get my site back to what it was when I started.

I don’t know for sure, but I’m thinking that if I could get things back to where they were when I first loaded WordPress, it would be like starting from scratch. I could then follow along on this video, and get a site happening. Am I dreaming, or can I bring things back to where they were when I first installed WordPress ?

Is this something that I can do ? If anyone can advise, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Terry

thanks royho, so my question is, where in WP (or woocommerce), do you find and enter this code ?

Hi NeoTechno – Yes that’s right, all of that is still there, but below the “Google Ad” heading, I used to have a box with an Adsense ad in it. The box is gone, only the heading remains, because that’s a headline/label deal that they give you to add text to. Its kind of built into the theme.

The textbox for the widget, however, is something you would add to put your own stuff into (the adsense ad in my case). I believe I even tried reloading the ad copy and pasting the html into the widget, and it had no effect.

Could it be that when I reloaded it that I used the “visual” selection, instead of “text” ? Or vice versa ? I’m not sure what those are for, actually.

BTW, thanks for your input at this forum. I really appreciate the help that you and some of the others here have helped me with. This forum is truly a lifesaver.

thanks guys – I’ve installed all in one SEO. It looks like there’s a bunch of settings there to configure, but I’ll have a better look tomorrow when I have a bit more time. anyway, from the looks of that plug in, it looks like it’ll work well. thanks again –

Thanks Iorro – Yes it could be the SumoMe plug in. I tried changing a few things but so far I haven’t touched SumoMe.

Also, I didn’t know that the free version of my theme was non responsive. One of the reasons I went with that theme was because I was told it was responsive. Thanks so much for that info.

I’ll try the spacing thing, but now I’m wondering if if that improvement will carry over onto a new theme. Anyway, I can see your info is excellent, and I’ll try it and see where I get. Thanks so much Iorro –

Thanks Iorro – Its at onlineincomegenerator.net

I believe that I added these icons while I was following a video on setting up a wordpress site. If nothing else, I guess I could go back over that video and reverse whatever I did to put them there. I thought at the time it might help with getting traffic sometime in the future.

Now it looks like they’re a little more obtrusive than I would like.

Thanks Michael – I’m using Simple Catch. I’ll see what I can figure out from your info, and I guess ask some more if I can’t make it work.

Hey Tyler – Thanks for the info. Even after reading all of the instructions, etc, on the WordPress pages, none of this was mentioned, or was apparent. So would Simplenote be used as a plug in on WordPress ? Or run it on my PC, create a post, and then copy/paste that post into the post page ? And for images, I would load them into WordPress and then move them onto the post ? Anyway, thanks for the info, I can try each way and see what works.
I had a page many years ago, (03/04), and I used Frontage to build it. Then blogs started to appear, which I believe changed everything, and made blogging programs more prominent. Anyway, thanks, I’ll experiment and see what works. Ks
