One other thing: I wrote a “Welcome” post and clicked “view post” from the Edit Post tab and I can see a preview using this method, but still no preview from Appearances>Themes. And still a broken link at my actual domain.
I don’t have any activated plugins. From the initial WP install, Akismet and Hello Dolly were installed but both are deactivated, and I have not installed any yet.
I’ve just tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme. I created a child theme, activated it, make a few mods, and hit “save & publish”. When I view my site I see a broken link icon in the top left hand corner of the page.
I will try resetting the plugins folder and re-uploading all files and folders.
If you have other ideas as to why this may be an issue, I’d really appreciate it. Thx!
No. I can see the left side bar but not the large preview.
Thank you for the response.
I have created a child them with the following code:
/*
Theme Name: Twenty Twelve Child
Theme URI: https://mydomain.com/
Description: Child theme for the Twenty Twelve theme
Author: kmacd
Author URI: https://mydomain.com/
Template: twentytwelve
Version: 0.1.0
*/@import url(“../twentytwelve/style.css”);
BUT I still have the same problem. I can’t preview any modifications. Am I missing another step?? Thx.
