I turned on the setting, registered as a new user using incognito and a spare email address, it let me into the website without confirming registration via email. It auto approved despite the setting being changed to require activation via email.

I tried activating “require email activation” option, but it didn’t work when testing… please help!

I have not resolved the error as such… I rolled back to previous version 8.9.3. Because 9.0.0 was throwing critical errors.

If I remove the shortcode, the reviews won’t display! as the first section is to submit a new review, 2nd bit is to display them! please suggest an alternative solution/investigate further
