    Thanks Cindy.
That was my mistake – I had removed categories and I thought I had removed the reference to the category in the shortcode as well….
Anyway, I have now got this to work with or without categories.
    Thanks you for your help.

Thank you for your response, but I don’t think it is anything to do with user permissions. The items are definitely getting added.
If I attempt to display the items in the ToDo List Widget, then the tasks for the user will be listed. Unfortunately, the tasks doe not have checkboxes so the assignee can tick off the item(s), so that is why I want to use the shortcode option where I can tell it to display chedckboxes.
However, if I add the checklist (or non checklist) shortcode to a standard text widget, then it just says “No items to do”. So it does understand there is a shortcode for this plugin, but it is not processing it correctly. I have displayed both types of widget in the same widget hosting area such as the footer, and the ToList widget displays the tasks, whereas the text widget with the shortcode does not.
Any other ideas? Is there some more information I can provide?

For those who are interested, this was down to the smooth scrolling functionality which broke the tabs display from woocommerce versions 2.4

This has been reported elsewhere for the customizr theme, which had an elegant way of disabling smooth scrolling from within Theme customization in WordPress admin.

This may not always be available for your theme, and for the LOCALBOX theme, I had to comment out the smooth scrolling javascript in jquery-hooks.php

(look for “//smoothscrolling” and comment out the code up to but not including “//Placeholder”

So if this affects you, and there is no elegant way of disabling smooth scrolling, you’ll need to find out how it is implemented in your theme and make the appropriate adjustments.
