Damnit,

I solved it.

I should have realized that all posted images gets a width and a height tag added in the code. And adding the line to functions.php wouldn’t change those old posts, only newer ones…

It’s hopefully done. And all it needed was to close a meta tag in the loop. It will of course fuck up in a couple of days, but that’s then. Not now. Now i will get me some sleep…

Yes, the <center> is kind of unusual these days, but back in the days when i started – heck, we used it all the time. I just put it in there to see if it helped in any way. And needless to say, it didn’t. And yes the total sum is 706, and I found that those flashes of moments when it seems to work, i had the width at 694…
But I seem to have found the problem, It’s the #content. That 0.8em on the left side pushes it all 0.8em to the right…

if you position the footer in isolation from the menu a whole mess of problems are going to come your way later on.
