Hey @noemdrdev, did disconnecting and reconnecting the Google account resolve the issue?

In reply to: [Post to Google My Business (Google Business Profile)] Posting failedHi @alltomtrav, did refreshing the locations do the trick? I haven’t heard back in almost two weeks so I’m marking this as resolved for now. But feel free to reopen if you’re still having issues.

In reply to: [Post to Google My Business (Google Business Profile)] Make to post GMBHi @zepaulo99!
By default the plugin will not automatically publish anything to your GMB that was created outside of the WordPress editor (e.g. by third-party plugins). Its a safety feature to prevent accidentally spamming your GMB listing with automated content that you didn’t intend to be shared on there.
In
Post to GMB > Settings > Auto-post settings > "Enabled request types"
, you can try enablingInternal
if you’re using the Make WordPress plugin. Alternatively, if that doesn’t work, try enablingREST API
orXML-RPC
. If an option doesn’t work, be sure to turn it off again afterwards.~ Koen
Hey @noemdrdev!
The changelog item you’re referring to is actually something (probably) unrelated. But in 3.2.0+ the way the location data is stored was updated (so the plugin can now handle 1000s of GMB locations within a single Google account). There’s an upgrade procedure that should run automatically when you update the plugin but it may have failed for some reason.
To clear the error, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Google account in Post to GMB > Settings > Google settings. Make sure you tick the “See, edit, create and delete your Google business listings” checkbox during the Google authentication flow.
The error message does not go away automatically but you should be able to dismiss it after reconnecting your account and then it shouldn’t come back.

In reply to: [Post to Google My Business (Google Business Profile)] Posting failedHi @alltomtrav, the location cache received an overhaul in the last update, so the plugin can now handle 1000s of GBP locations without any hickups. The data is now stored in a different manner.
There’s an automatic update procedure that should have ran in the background when updating the plugin, but it may have failed for some reason.
Try refreshing the location cache in Post to GMB > Settings > Google Settings > “Refresh locations”. Then try creating another GMB post and see if it works.

Thanks for the review @stevepett! Glad you like it. I reckon the name of the plugin is indeed quite self-explanatory ??
~ KoenHi @devoantor, the plugin does not auto-publish posts created through REST by default. You have to turn that on first (if you haven’t already), in Post to GMB > Settings > Auto-post settings > “Enabled request types” and check “REST API”. Then save the settings.
If posts are still not appearing on GMB with that setting turned on, can you check if the post appears in the Post calendar (Post to GMB > Dashboard)? Click on it and then hit “List created posts” and inspect for any publishing errors

Thanks @rilwis, all good now.
It looks like it is an issue with the Meta Box plugin that this plugin requires. Downgrading that to 5.9.11 fixed it for me.
Its not showing the first status with the array key of 0
listing_status[0][status]
in the list. Its starting at 1 instead, so each time you save the settings one of the statuses is deleted.- This reply was modified 3 months, 2 weeks ago by Koen Reus.
