I’m not using this feature, but it seems to be here:

In reply to: Site has disappearedMatt,
hope this works for you; I confess I did not think of this problem; my own MySQL has been 5 for a while now; didn’t WP recently have a test of some sort to see if a site’s MySQL was up to date?
Quick edit: just noticed your site is back up. Excellent.

Thanks for these remarks; very helpful.

In reply to: Site has disappearedSounds reasonable, but I’ll have to yield to someone more familiar with how WP installs itself. It’s a good question, and certainly we all need more options if the usual steps do not work.
BTW there are some other useful responses in the link above to the Weblog Tools Collection (below the article).

In reply to: Site has disappearedYou might try removing entirely (via FTP) the theme you were using (copy it to your hard drive, then delete the original). This will force WP to go to the default theme. But don’t rename the folder wp-content/themes/, just remove the theme you were using.
Remember that in renaming the plugin directory you must (I am citing from the link above):
1. rename the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold”
then
2. Via FTP or your host’s control panel, create new folder called “plugins”I.e., don’t forget to create the new folder.
If none of this works, you might try searching “white screen of death” at Weblog Tools Collection – there are other pages as well.
See if these steps yield anything.

In reply to: [My Link Order] [Plugin: My Link Order] WordPress update broke my orderAndrew,
thanks for the quick turnaround. Much appreciated.Be sure to save your changes.
Also, if you have a different skin as your default skin, you must activate your Green Style Pro skin (as the default) before changing its color scheme.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Permalink adding /#/0Following up:
The plugin author (of the Grand Flash Album Gallery) responded quickly (thanks) and enlightened me yet again:
This particular skin has a deeplink feature enabling the user to copy and send a link to any individual image in the flash gallery rather than merely to the gallery as a whole.
The permalink with /#/0 sends a link to the gallery as a whole as it opens on the screen, /#/1 to the first image that is called up individually, /#/2 to the second, and so on.
Thanks again, esmi, for prompting me to examine the plugins more carefully.

In reply to: Permalink adding /#/0Good call (and thanks for the swift response). The page itself is using a plugin (a Flash gallery), so I cannot really deactivate that plugin and ascertain anything. That said, the problem seems to be the particular skin for that gallery that I am using: switching to a different skin eliminates the problem.
I just emailed the gallery/plugin creator and brought this apparent skin-problem to his attention. I will see how he responds and then post again here.
Thanks again, esmi.

In reply to: Permalink adding /#/0So sorry about the link mistake above; I’m unsure how that happened. Can a moderator allow me to fix it?
If I’m understanding your query correctly, you should be able to find the answer you want on the instructional video at the plugin author’s website. https://tinyurl.com/yevoyyz You can embed text and links in the image descriptions pretty easily.
I’m unsure what your error messages mean – the plugin author would have to explain those, but I experienced similar thumbnail problems
(1) before I began sizing (reducing) my images before uploading them (try reducing your image size before uploading) and
(2) during one gallery upgrade (I forget which version). In the latter case, my thumbnails had been resized for some reason and were distorted. I edited the thumb size back to the default 115×100, saved the changes, cleared my cache, and my errors disappeared. On a couple of images, my thumbnail size read 115×100 and yet were still distorted, so I resized to the same size, saved, and cleared the cache; that worked, but I’m not entirely sure whether you are experiencing the same error.
