In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Email Notifications Not WorkingHi @bbrowne
Try updating and let me know if the issue persists. Also, is it just an issue with the multisite, or do you have a single site installation on that server with the same issue?

In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Broken Link Checker for IP Restricted SiteAs @hongpong mentioned, an IP whitelist is required for BLC to work. Once you get that sorted out, everything should be working smoothly.

In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Still maintained and working?Hi @toremo
We updated the plugin to be compatible with WP 5.1.1. Lemme know if it works for you.
Sorry for the long delay, it took us a while to get this plugin development prioritized.
Cheers,
NemanjaThanks for initially bringing this up @tomusher – although it wasn’t fair of me not to give you a reply back then.
As I mentioned in the other thread, Broken Link Checker is now actively maintained, and there will be no need for donations or monetization. This is one of the ways we contribute to the community, and we encourage all BLC users to keep contributing to it via GitHub.

In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Request to transfer ownership of Broken Link CheckerThank you @hongpong for raising this issue, and thank you all for making both code and feedback contributions.
My team and I had taken over the plugin years ago, as a way to contribute to the community. There were never plans to monetize the plugin, which in hindsight is one of the reasons we haven’t been that actively maintaining it lately.
Luckily, both the ManageWP project and the team have grown, which allows us to divert more time into community contributions. This is why we decided:
- Broken Link Checker plugin will remain under our care, with our commitment to keep it up to date.
- You will be keep being able to contribute via GitHub. We will work on properly attributing your commits.
- Broken Link Checker will remain free, forever. There will be no need for donations.
In the coming weeks we will update all the accompanying info like the missing changelog item that @tomusher mentioned, so please bear with us.
Looking forward to BLC’s future!

Hi Rodrigo,
The latest plugin update should now be compatible with PHP7.2. Can you confirm?
Cheers,
NemanjaIt was an issue with the 4.3.1 Worker where it would throw an error after a failed update, instead of rebuilding itself to the latest stable version.
We pushed a 4.3.2 update as soon as we identified the problem – when you readded the website, you used that version.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

In reply to: [ManageWP Worker] Not bad, but…There are a few things you could do to get the job done without leaving the paranoid mode ??
- Create a temporary admin account > add the website using the temp admin > delete temp admin account
- Add a website without providing the credentials. The latest Worker update features a unique connection key that’s generated on your site when you activate the Worker plugin. You will see the detailed steps in the plugin description on your website
That being said, changing the login URL is basically a core hack, and as such is not recommended by the WordPress Security team since there are a lot of sophisticated attacks that don’t even target the login URL. From a security standpoint, it does not hurt the website, but it does break functionality of plugins such as ManageWP.

In reply to: [ManageWP Worker] Worker Plugin silently updated to 4.2.27Hi,
Sorry about the scare, the most important thing is that it’s legitimate. We’ve built an system that incrementally updates the Worker plugin, with the capability of completely rebuilding itself on an off chance something goes wrong.
A small percentage of users gets the update before rolling it out to the repo, just to be triple-sure that everything is working great.
We plan an article that will give you more details on how the ManageWP Worker update works, and why you shouldn’t worry about it.
Cheers,

Hi,
I am sorry to hear about your problem. I assume that you just turned on the backup addon, but deactivated the plugin, which is essential for backups to be performed.
At any rate, we would be happy to issue a full refund, since you weren’t actually using the service. Contact me at [email protected] and I will get it sorted out.
Cheers,
Nemanja
