    All good.

I took a minute to look at the code in events-manager.php around line 1022, and found that the items missing in the menu will only show if I have selected “Use RSVP” in the General Settings window.

Once I selected “Use RSVP” and clicked Save Changes, a bunch of new items appeared in the sub-menu AND I was granted permission to see the related pages. I guess there’s some logic to that, although I had wanted to build the RSVP tool before “turning it on”.

The permission issue ended up being a red herring.

Franky, sorry I wasted your time. I guess if anyone else comes across the same issue, this thread might give them the simple solution. Cheers.

That’s strange. I was hoping I wasn’t the only person having the issue. I did both checks you suggested, and both seem fine.

Are you aware of any known plugin conflicts? Anything I should be looking for? How would I test for this?

The other sub-menu items I see are as follows:

    • Edit
    • Add new
    • Locations
    • Categories
    • Templates
    • Cleanup
    • Settings

Am I missing anything else in the menu?

Thanks for the reply. For the time being, I’ll try to implement the registration form without payment. I appreciate the responses!

btw, I decided to set the “Edit form fields” to “All users” and it had no effect. Logged out and logged back in as my wife, she couldn’t access it either.

Thanks for the reply. That would make sense, but doesn’t seem to be working.

I’m the administrator. The required access for “Edit form fields” on our site is “Edit others posts”. I regularly edit my wife’s posts, so I do have that permission.

** I also have no trouble adding locations or editing events created in EME. These use the same “Edit others posts” permission.

(you’re correct though, when I try to directly access the Form Fields tool via your URL above, I get a permission error)

    Any suggestions?

Hi Franky, thanks for the reply. It’s GREAT to see multibooking is possible now. I will try this out next time I get an hour or two to work on the site.

In response to your question about single cost, let’s take the following example:

    • We’re running a session that starts today (September 13) and runs every Saturday morning until October 25 (with the exception of October 11). That makes for 6 individual classes.
    • Most people will sign up for the whole session.
    • Some people have trouble committing, so may choose to come to some classes and not others. Say someone chooses September 13, 20, and October 18
    • If you sign up for the whole session, the cost for you is $60. But if you sign up for individual classes, the cost is $12 per class.
    • In this case, $60 is what I meant by paying a “single cost” for a group of events.

It’s not in this example, but I could take that further and offer a discount for people who sign up for the whole session AND meet some other criteria, like being a member of some club, for example.

Hope this is clearer… thanks so much,
      Kenton

Hi Franky, I’ve been using EME for a few months (really basic uses so far) and am really appreciating it. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

Just checking in to see if the idea in this thread made it into the next version?

A question based on your response above: Would I be able to set a single cost (and count a single group of registrants ) for each set of “recurrent events”?

And if so, a bit more complicated: Could I set a “session rate” (multiple) and an “individual event rate” separately… to allow for users to get a discount if they register for the whole session at one time?

Just trying to see how this will work in the future for our registrations, as we would like to enable Paypal on the site.

    Thanks again.
