In reply to: Custom CSS file not foundBut it’s the same issue, and the original problem was not resolved. I will leave it here in order not to clutter the forums with duplicate problems.
I forgot to mention that both sites were running off of BlueHost and HostMonster (which are newly sister companies). Could this be a server issue on their end? I’m just trying to get some ideas of why this is happening, because this is wreaking havoc with my client deadlines and costing a lot of people.

In reply to: Custom CSS file not foundThis definitely seems to be a WordPress issue, since even editing the css through TextEdit and uploading it through Cyberduck causes the same problem. I’m running WP 3.6 on this current site.
Naturally this happens when I have a rush client job. ??

In reply to: Custom CSS file not foundHi all! I’m working on another site (separate from the previous one, no caps in the server folders) and I’m running into the same issue. It’s odd, because it seems to have something to do with FTP vs. an actual problem with WordPress, however since I’ve never had this problem until recently I’m wondering if it’s related to the new version of WordPress.
Sometimes uploading the style.css works fine—-everything shows up right and everyone’s happy. Then without editing anything and merely dragging the style.css from the computer to the server again, only half of the css reads on the site and the rest falls apart. Now it’s not file permissions, it’s not a particular version of Dreamweaver, and I have this problem with the same site on several computers, so it’s not a bad installation of Dreamweaver. It even did it a couple times using Cyberduck.
Is this WordPress, or is the style.css somehow saving in a way that WordPress won’t read it? Am I missing necessary code in the top of the css? Has anyone else run into this problem?

In reply to: Custom CSS file not foundThe address is correct; I even checked the functions.php (since that’s where the theme calls the style.css) and it’s working fine. It seems to fix it for a while if I delete the file off the server and then reload it, but that will only fix it for a day at most. There doesn’t seem to be any consistent or particular reason why the theme stops reading the css, so I’m not sure if it’s just a bad WP installation and I should reload WP or if there is something wrong with the theme.

In reply to: ordering images in a galleryWhat gallery system are you using? As I understand it, you can’t exactly edit a gallery through a post. There should be a separate link in the dashboard that has to do with galleries, and through there you can manage a gallery and the order of your images.
