Andrew, I’m having the same issue with the “parsererror” message every time I try to post an update to a liveblog. Did you ever resolve this issue?

That wouldn’t explain why big files are rejected and small files are allowed to upload.

The reason that particular IP (above) is blocked is because we block all IPs in the 65.55 block on the .htaccess level. It is a spambot from China.

Since my site receives a large volume of traffic there are several entries in the error log per minute, but here are the past 20 entries or so:

It seems as if version 2.1.0 is working fine now. I haven’t changed a thing on my install. The Javascript console does not show any errors right now. Not sure what to say… I’ll post here again if the issue returns.

2.0.0 works, but 2.1.0 doesn’t, that is correct. 2.0.1 also does not work. If I revert to the old 2.0.0 version that one works fine.

WordPress 3.5.1. Tested this out on both Chrome and Firefox.

The following shows up in the Javascript console: “Uncaught ReferenceError: pteL10n is not defined”

I had this exact problem upon updating to 3.5.1. None of the above suggestions worked for me — tried them all except replacing core files of WP. However, a simple clearing of my Chrome browser cache did the trick.

For those who may happen to stumble upon this thread later on, I ended up fixing the problem I described above! Here’s how.

First I noticed that phpMyAdmin was acting very strangely / not working, which tipped me off that something might be up with the database. So I contacted my hosting provider and asked them to look into it. Here is the response I got:

“the error you get was cause by no tmp disk space, you had a lot of mysql cache and session files, we made the new space 4GB instead of 400MB and you should be okay now.”

As soon as they did that, all my categories and tags came back and everything was fine.

Upon further investigation, we hypothesized that the reason the tmp disk space was full is because of WP Super Cache. Disabling WP Super Cache plugin before upgrading probably would’ve helped us avoid this problem at all.

I am having a similar problem; after upgrading to 3.2.1, Categories disappeared in the back-end. Some categories show on the home page, and they appear to still be in the database which I can see using phpMyAdmin. No idea what to do. Can anyone help?

when i approve a comment, things do not improve. still, his comments get marked for moderation no matter what.

is there some kind of “whitelist” plugin available?

Any luck integrating this plugin with WordPress 2.8? It doesn’t break anything on my site, but it just doesn’t work — pages just reload whenever a new comment is posted.

I’m in the same exact boat.
