I just want to make sure i’m doing it right. I make a new file in my child theme, label it header.php and copy and paste the parent header.php into my child?

If it looks like I didn’t do my child theme right, can you tell me how I should actually do it? I followed instructions and thought I was creating within my child theme

I’m using the custom section of my theme-twenty twelve child. I really just want to put an image under my h1 title and before the h2 site description. I’ve made a child theme according to the instructions I found, and I’m working in it, as far as I know. Thank you

I think I really messed it up..i can’t even log in and change anything and the screen is blank.

really? I just found my mistake in my server and when i erased it, i can only now see half my site, with a fatal error message.
