  • We have had the same problem the past fwe months, and so have colleagues of ours at other local news websites. Some are leaving Modern Tribe for other calendars out of frustration and we are contemplating doing so also. Some events submitted with the community add on appear properly but most do not – very bad for our brand for people to make the effort to suvmit community events and then they don’t appear. Oddly sometimes we receive the email that they have subbmitted but when we click the review link there is nothing there or it directs us to some other unrelated listing.

Thanks Tao! Appreciate the help. Is there a way to make that the default though? I don’t want to have to disable it on every single post. I want it to be disabled for all. I and community members post dozens of events each month to our calendar. I’m looking for alternatives to the Modern Tribe Events Calendar, which has become really bulky and problematic. Thanks

This is still happening. Will it be fixed? There should be some easy way to enable featured image without it appearing twice in individual event posts.

With php 8 for my website there is a fatal error, so I had to roll my php back. All I got from your support was “shrug” php 8 is in beta. My host also tells me the Modern Tribe plugins are causing huge load issues. Then there are other bugs since the upgrade to 6.0, such as people having trouble entering community events. Finally time to stop procrastinating and find a new calendar. Too expensive for the lack of support and all the bugs.

I reverted to 2.87 plugin in order to sync and am now turning Disqus off. WordPress plugin has not been updated for seven months. Disqus slows down my site and readers are annoyed by the poor quality ads. 3.0 and up – impossible to find secret site key and fix from there. So annoying. Go to plugin page on WordPress and find advanced view to get older versions of the plugin.

This is actually quite a common issue. It has happened with many people – if you read the forums – and a wide range of themes, including Studiopress. It’s a pity it can’t be resolved, because the calendar was a great plug in but this issue is a deal breaker. Numerous people have been frustrated about it for the last several months. I even tried switching themes several times and still the same problem (I disabled all other plugins). Seems like a fundamental problem Modern Tribe should look into. I want to go back to pro version but won’t until this issue is resolved because that’s too much to be paying for no answers and delayed responses. sorry to be harsh but disappointing.
