It seems strange that others’ fixes for this problem have not been accepted. It also seems strange to me that there isn’t a way to submit patches officially to the dev team. I’m not used to the php world though so maybe that isn’t common here.

I’ve emailed it to RazorSA and a few others who have requested it. If the dev team would like the change just let me know… otherwise I guess I will just have to keep updating/replacing my file with each WP upgrade.

It seems like a big bug though for anyone interested in using images and/or thumbnails (why give the option if you don’t provide a way to link to them)?

I agree that this would be a most useful feature. The idea of creating a lower level user is a good work around. There is also another suggestion in the support forums to have more than one admin (my changing a user’s user_level via SQL). The best solution though would be to change the level compare to <=
