This still is not working for me. Probably I need to start over. But why is it this hard? I managed to make full width headers and footers but I just can’t manage the content. It should not be this hard. I got the headers and footers by choosing patterns that seemed to be full width. Basically I only occasionally stumble across a “full width” button. Why isn’t it available for every basic container, especially “group”?? I am tearing what little hair I have left out.

This is such a beginning site (I’m using it to teach some other people how to use WordPress, a case of the near-blind leading the blind perhaps), that at the moment I have only one activated plug-in, User Role Editor. I deactivated it (it is certainly one that need not be activated most of the time) but it made no difference.

It certainly seems to work fine for you. I am mystified.

Maybe Blocksy is just too buggy. This is the second bug I have found. I would welcome your opinion on whether Astra, which has been around a long time, is better, or something else.

has a screen shot of what happens when I go to Blocksy => Title => custom and try to turn off title, then hit update.

This is a Blocksy problem. It works as expected in Astra. They are so similar that I might go back to Astra, although in general I find Blocksy easier to work with.

Is there a way to upload a screen shot to this forum or do I have to put it on my site and link to it, as I have done?

I’m going to try to hide it with CSS now, so if you visit the above page I might have fixed it, but not using the Blocksy options.
