In reply to: Eliminating Escaped quote in page titleNot sure what happened. Somehow the extra backslash was inserted by WP in the Webtitle of the Options page. It appeared on its own. In the past when I edited it out, it reappeared.
Now when I edit it out, it stays edited out. GO FIGURE!

In reply to: get_posts helpDon’t know if this helps or not.
I was trying to do the same thing. Using a loop just like yours, instead of using the_title(), I used $post->post_title. Worked just fine

In reply to: Alex King’s Share-ThisGreat plugin! I am getting the following error when selecting Send Email and not entering an email address or entering an improper email address. Routine is wanting to die, but it cannot find wp_die().
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_die() in /home/davidsco/public_html/wp-content/plugins/share-this/share-this.php on line 364
I am using Firefox 1.5.0.8
You can check out the error at:

In reply to: FAQ PluginGreat plugin!
Suggestions / Questions:
1. Perhaps the admin should be under Manage rather than options
2. Is there any way or reordering the questions?
3. I assume that the answers must be written in html. I.e., if you put in enters in the answerbox, they don’t show up in the FAQ page.
4. Eventually, it would be nice to have the individual questions categorized so you could put different questions under category headings
5. Or, the ability to specifiy a category in the page tag, so one could have one page for each FAQ category.Yah, I know, beggars shouldn’t be choosers!, but it never hurts to ask!

In reply to: how to integrate Photo Gallery in postI have had pretty good luck so far with a plugin called photopress (at familypress.net).
You can upload, make an album which can be viewed as an album, but also add pictures from the album in your posts

In reply to: FAQ PluginThanks for the idea! I assume I could create a sidebar box with heading FAQ and then list the subcategory titles as items within the box.
I follow you until you get to the index.php. What type of modifications would I have to make to the index.php page? I know how to modify sidebar and the loop in index, but I am not sure what type of modifications would be needed. If I make modifications to my main loop to facilitate my special FAQ query, what will happen to the display of index when displaying the other categories?
Also, putting answered questions as posts would mean that they would slip down by date, right? So would it be possible to order the posts within a subcategory by something other than date?

In reply to: ‘Slippery’ PostsI just installed Solvent on WP 2.0. It works like a charm. Puts an extra check box under the status box automatically. Check it while editing and the posts never appear on the front page
