I used that postman app to help and then I’m fairly certain I had to turn off secure email and just send it normally.

I can’t give you specifics b/c I’m not maintaining that website any longer so I can’t look at the specifics but that’s what I remember.

I got it working. Postman smtp helped. If I remember correctly, I had to use non-secure method for it to work. I think it had something to do with GoDaddy but not sure. I’m not maintaining that website any longer. Thanks for all the help!

I reached out to my theme support to ask them because I read on this developers web page to do that or the other option like I said is to bite the bullet and just buy the license at $34. I’m gonna see what my theme support says first though.

I had the same issue. I had to rollback to wordpress 4.4.2. Is this one of those things where we have to purchase the plugin in order for this to work?

I finally fixed my issue. I used Postman SMTP to help me fix my configuration issues.

If I wanted to find a secure port to go through on GoDaddy, would it be best if I reached out to their support?

Yeah, I’m not sure why that is closed since that’s how it set it up when I put it on my phone and email on my mac. But for whatever reason that seems to be closed between wordpress and GoDaddy. I did do the set-up wizard again and just went no-secure port 25 with no authentication and now it is working.

These are just contact forms with nothing that is secure so I’m just happy it works for now. Your plugin is great so thank you for all your help. I’m confused why on GoDaddy it says to use smtpout.secureserver.net but only works with what you said –
relay-hosting.secureserver.net. But it is what it is, just glad I”m back and working after about 3 weeks of not working.

Any other info I can give you to help?

All emails are getting refused. I just made a new user for someone so they can at least look at the log to see what requests are coming in and those showed up in the log as connection refused.

I can see all the attempts from test emails or from the contact form 7 itself in the log. The session transcripts either say:

I changed to relay-hosting.secureserver.net and still failed trying to send a test email from postman. I am trying to paste the log in here but isn’t doing it.

Could it be something else besides going to spam folder? I checked that and actually check a couple times a week. I’ve tried sending to my gmail – [email protected] and also my yahoo – [email protected]. When I try the password reset – it goes to my yahoo.

The forms go to [email protected]. I assume when I first set-up the forms, it was using PHP Mail() and was working fine but after that update, not working and trying to switch to smtp hasn’t worked either.

I have friend who maintains a lot of websites that is having the same issue. From what I hear, a lot of people are having this or some kind of issue with contact form 7.

Yes, it does. I have tested sending and receiving emails from the account.
