Are you sure the SETUP string is not added in the carrier somewhere? We didn’t add that anywhere in the plugin, just double-checked this.

@yoursql719 @matt6303 Thanks for your kind message, I’m so sorry for the inconveniene. There should be a warning on the plugin update page, but WordPress doesn’t display this very clearly.

With all the major updates, not only of our plugins but in general, I always suggest to check the changelog. There are always informations very helpful for deciding whether you’d like to upgrade right now or not.

I just released version 9.0.1 which doesn’t remove the previous notification data from wp_posts table, so it will be way easier to revert to previous version, without restoring the database backup.

Also, this version removed the Webhook carriers, which is now available as a more powerful extension with ability to receive webhooks.

If you’d like to keep using the webhooks as you were, you can:

1. Keep using Notification v8, although it’s not recommended
2. Upgrade to Notification : Webhooks extension

As far as it’s not ideal solution for previous webhook users, we belive this change will help us provide a better product overall, with even more features. Thanks for your understanding.

Hi, absolutely! You can use the Conditionals extension to limit the notifications to varius scenarios, including tre post category.
