@tommcdonald: if you’ve child theme activated, then check the folder of your child theme from any ftp client like “filezilla”, check the functions.php file and match the changes you’ve made with the parent theme’s functions.php file.

After the recent update, there has been a couple of changes in functions.php file, so u must need to make the changes in ur child theme accordingly.

what is your site address?

if you’ve done it from here, Appearance > customize > front page content > front page displays > static page, it shouldn’t happen that way.

Even you can publish the page without “title”, coz it will redirect to ur home page anyway and will show you mentioned as “front page” on pages list.

when you say, it shows social media buttons, are you using any plugin for that? If you’re using addtoany plugin (I’m just guessing), that plugin has an option to disable showing social media buttons on excerpt and archive pages. try that, it should work.

I’m not very sure if its possible to show only a post (that too complete, not only excerpt) on front page. To achieve what you’re looking at, you’ve two solutions:

1. Appearance > customize > front page content > front page displays > your latest posts

Now change the count of archive from settings > reading > Blog pages show at most = 3

or you can try this:

2. Appearance > customize > front page content > front page displays > static page

Use a plugin, “shortcode ultimate” and show the latest posts with count of 3 in that page, which you’ve chosen for front page.

so here are two solutions, what I can suggest:

If you want to show all your latest blogs on the home page, you can simply do it from here:
appearance > customize > front page content > Front page displays > your latest posts

Now if you want to show selected posts on the home page not the all, you can create a page and choose this optoin:

appearance > customize > front page content > Front page displays > a static page > and choose the page you want to show as a home page.

now, install a plugin “shortcode ultimate”

edit that “front page” and enter a shortcode of showing latest posts/selective posts/etc.

where do you see ‘pingbacks” section in comment? can you please share any screenshot for better clarity?

I’m really not sure about exporting and importing, but one easy way I guess is, create a child theme, do the customization there and keep it there for always. whenever u need that settings, activate that child theme ?? does that work well?

If I understand it correctly, https://apollofletshqip.com/ is your site and you want to show only the last post (in full length) on the home page, (and that will be replaced to the latest one, every time a new post is published) which I guess won’t be possible.

Yes if you want to show only a full length post, you can create a page for that and set it from here:
Customizing > Front Page Content > Front page displays > A static page.

Create one custom menu. Here is the tutorial for that:

Once custom menu will be generated, you will be getting an option to map that custom menu to either “primary menu” or “secondary menu”.
