Okay. I deleted the PayPal Payments plugin on the live store, reinstalled it, and used the “log in to merchant account” option. It created a new developer account for me, with new credentials. And not it’s working, although I’m still trying to get all the payment buttons to appear on all the places they used to.
If you are not going to allow an upgrade from PayPal Gateway and use existing credentials, why did you even provide the manual option? For that matter, why didn’t you just update the existing plugin, instead of making us jump through all these hoops?
The new plugin had damned well better have enough new functionality to make it worthwhile wasting my afternoon on getting it to work.
I am having the identical problem. I upgraded to PayPal Payments and when I try to go to the Settings I get the same error as @kenior when I try to go to the settings. I looked at the values in the woocommerce-ppcp-settings entry in the database, and the credentials are identical to my what I have stored in Evernote, so I don’t believe this is a credentials problem. I assume these are the settings from the PayPal Gateway plugin, since I was not able to get to the PayPal Payments settings at all.
Before installing the plugin on my live system. I created a backup of the site with the Duplicator system and created a test store. When I upgraded to PayPal Payments I was able to get to the settings, but I got an error when I clicked the save button. When I re-opened the admin page it worked and I was able to get back to the settings, and the store front end worked properly.
I am going to re-spin the test store and do some more testing. I’ll let you know if I find anything out.
Never mind… I realized that after the noreply address is set, a ‘wd_confirm_noreply_email’ is called that allows it to be set to another address. I set up a mini-plugin to add the filters and call a routine to set an address that’s verified in AWS.
So long, and thanks for all the filters!

In reply to: [Payment Gateway for PayPal on WooCommerce] Pay in 4 Option?I just applied the updates to the plugin and I do see the Pay in 4 and Credit options on the PayPal payment page.
But when I look at the WooCommerce Payment settings, the PayPal Express setting now says “PayPal Express Checkout (deprecated)”. Deprecated means support for the option is going to be removed at some point. Can you explain this please?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Update 4.4.0 Causes Fatal ErrorsWP Rocket has released version 3.6.4 which fixes the incompatibility with WooCommerce 4.4.
I had to log in to the WP Rocket website, download the new version, unzip it, and upload it to my test system via FTP. After that the site is working again.
I’ve uploaded it to my live system as well, and will update WooCommerce to 4.4 tomorrow… after making sure I have a download of version 4.3.3!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Update 4.4.0 Causes Fatal ErrorsSame here, glad I installed 4.4 on a test system first. Hiding the WP Rocket plugin folder eliminated the error. I’m holding off installing 4.4 on my live system until this is resolved.
People: Always install updates on a test system first! Plugins like Duplicator can create a new copy of your site in a sub-folder in about 15 minutes and save you a lot of heartache and headache.
Additional information: In order to eliminate possible conflicts I disabled all the plugins on the site except WooCommerce. Vaariable products still did not show in searches. I also have the search limit set to the maximum value of 500.
