In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Event Costs no longer changeableHi Truman
I added a feature request for the add-on “Event Tickets” with the payment method
- payable at the entrance
We can use the workaround with rollback, change amount and update again as written in my second replay.
Thanks for your support. You can close the case now with “unresolved”.
Best regards from Switzerland

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Event Costs no longer changeableHi Truman
I don’t write about “free events”. I wrote about payable events, but the tickets will be paid at the entrance not during the registration of a ticket.
For the limited amount of payable events during the year we have, the implementation of WooCommerce is a bit overdimensionised.
If you plan to support “payable at the entrance” as additional payment method in the future in the add-on “Event Tickets Pro” (or Plus) that is fine with me.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Event Costs no longer changeableHi Darian
Most of our events during the year are free of charge. And for the very few amount of payable events it makes no sense to install WooCommerce.
But anyway with the add-on “event tickets” installed, it is not possible to tell the website visitors that the event is free of charge.
I would recommend that you add “payable at the entrance” as additional payment method when tickets are selected. Then we can add the amount and the participants can be stored in the database like you do it with the reservations.
This would help.

I made some tests. The ticket price is shown at the overall page, but the system brings an error message “Payment process unfortunately not possible!”.
The easiest possibility is when you add two additional payment method
- Payable at the entrance
- Payable with bank transfer to IBAN xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx
thanks Kurt

I’m not happy with your explanation. F
- If you activate the event ticket plugin there is no information about the price of the ticket.
- We use the plugin as registration, the participations pay at the entrance.
- Your payment methods stripe and Paypal are not common in our country therefore we don’t use it.
- Although we use it as a registration form, the price should be visible
- The price of the ticket is also on the overall event page
It would be useful to show the price of a ticket. Please develop any enhancement that the price is visible or use event costs with event tickets in parallel.
Best regards

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Event Costs no longer changeableHi Darian
I can reproduce it with v6.1.2.2.
Already during the creation of the event the event costs are not available.
But when I rollback to v6.1.1 it is available.
In my opinion it has to do with the add-on “Event Tickets” in V5.6.2. This addon is not visible with v6.1.1, but with 6.1.2.2 it is available.
And the event costs are vice-versa.
Give this a hint for you?

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Google complains missing meta description in eventsDear Jaime
I made a couple of tests and found the problem. I just entered the title without text of one of our events. No meta description appeared. Then I added the description of the event and the meta description of that event appeared.
I can close now the ticket.
Thanks for your help and best regards
