Thanks much for everyone’s input! Bluehost was able to restore my site to its status as of a few days ago when it was okay.

I will also check out the tutorial, do I will be less stupid in the future!

I was fortunate. Bluehost was able to restore my site to where it was 24 hours ago.

Since I’m a novice at web site building, I’m scandalously ignorant about the wp-config.php file in general, and I’m not sure how I would access, check and then recognize what should or should not be in it. I could certainly use some education in this area, so I won’t have to depend on others to maintain or save that which I should be able to do myself.

Since beginning this web site through Bluehost and WordPress, I’ve alternated from feeling stupid to feeling smart to feeling stupid again. I hope to be able to learn from all of you so I won’t feel so stupid so often!

I have done that. But what I get now is a blank site. All the blogs, web pages, images, audio, links and everything else are gone. Is there any way to get that back, or did my reinstall wipe out all my last month’s work?

    Thanks,
    Cliff
