Can anyone offer advice, why wordfence plugin is no longer active on our site?

I just discovered the issue in my dashboard. Burst plugin is not active since 3/16/25. Screenshot attached shows the issue. In my settings everything on my WP admin. is Active, so i’m not sure why its not recording my traffic.??

I just located my Joli TOC table, it appears to be located inside my Drop Down Menu? it should be located below author name and before content…. See image here – thx for instructions to correct settings.

Would it be wise since i believe i am using the Free Version of Joli TOC, that i uninstall then reinstall the Word Press Plugin?

Contacted my server who whitelisted the Modsecurity (who knew:) and i was able to optimize the firewall. Next, i am onto the site audit

Thanks for the reply, however we are Not familiar with the name ModSecurity. Therefore cannot check for false positives. If you could please provide location/access to such a site, or Is this is a plugin perhaps?

I just tried to run our first “Site Audit” in Wordfence.. Cursor spun (ran) forever, until i finally clicked view audit and discovered it was disconnected from internet.

Obvious issue here is connectivity is missing between Wordfence and our WP admin. or any search engine we’ve tried to reach you, perhaps even this one – which might explain the lack of reply so far?

I see there are Alternate Instructions to optimize the Firewall found in FAQ section. So i did follow these instructions: (If the notice has already been dismissed then open the “Firewall” page. Click on the “All Firewall Options” link. In the “Protection Level” section click on the button that says, “OPTIMIZE THE WORDFENCE FIREWALL”).

However, upon clicking on All Firewall Options in your dashboard, i was again redirected to this page:

I have tried both methods with Nord VPN On and with it OFF, no change in results. please assist Thank you

not a plugin. It’s the header bar for posts in Classic Editor. Those options are edited with the screen options drop down.
the VIEWS option always (4years) included up and down arrow to see your posts with highest or lowest views. Than it disappeared?

Thanks James, wonder if you know the quick setting mod to adjust the Views Count in Classic Editor? Through some updates in the WP theme, the up/down arrow disappeared, which allowed us to populate post views numerically. You can see in the screenshot, no up/down arrow for views exists, like it does for date and title, and no screen options available as well? thanks!

Hello, and Thanks for the quick solution – it works! Probably unrelated, did this change possibly affect the “Spacing” between my author name and the content? You can see a sample here.

Perhaps this is unrelated, and if so, is there a way to decrease that spacing for the table of contents box, from double to single, sitewide?

Had similar issues with FAQ Schema because if refuse to switch to Block Editor (only way Yoast delivers Schema on page). They said there was now way for us to create FAQ Schema in Classic, but were wrong.

I first added a plugin called “Header & Footer Code” to WP admin, and in settings marked “All Posts”.

I then used this schema generator free tool – https://susodigital.com/tools/faq-schema-generator to create Q & A.

Then Copy and paste the JSON code it produces into the header footer plugin block created below the Yoast navigation area @ the bottom of the classic editor for the post you want to add it to, hit Update, and then check the updated URL (post) in rich results test – the FAQ is recognized by Google, per post every time.

Let me know if you need any more references to achieve what i figured out on my own…
