Ack! I figured it out. There was a custom stylesheet down the stack that was overriding the defaults and setting the display of the label to none rather than visually hiding it. Fixing that cleared the a11y alerts, so all good. My apologies for the false alarm! Thanks for the super speedy reply. Greatly appreciated!
