In reply to: [Magazine Basic] Right Sidebar is in the FooterI have found it resolves itself when you add content. Once you have a few posts the homepage displays perfectly.

In reply to: Help – Using Gridiculous ThemeI’ve realised the random post at the top was labelled as sticky, as it’s gone now I’ve unchecked that. I see all post pages are crammed into the middle column, even on their designated page. I don’t think the theme is going to work for me, because I only want a grid displaying products and services on the homepage, with a separate News & Updates page, and posts opening to a normal page width. Is there any way of achieving the above?

In reply to: Help – Using Gridiculous ThemeHi, I’m using Gridiculous for a simple business site but I’m struggling with the lay out. I have the layout set to 4 columns (which I believe actually offers 3 column?) with my homepage displaying my latest posts. Now I have one post randomly showing full width along the top, with all my posts squeezed into only one column, and the home page link has disappeared from my menu bar altogether. I’m wondering how I lay the site out with this theme? I’m obviously looking for a grid type layout with previews of posts which contain product and service details. https://www.kwhpublishing.com
(BTW I tried joining the Gridiculous support forum but I never get the email with my password).

In reply to: 123reg wordpress install moving directory to root folderHi Nerys,
Thanks for your offer. It appears I have been able to get things sorted now, so I’ve closed the support ticket. I deleted everything via 123 Reg Web FTP and took a new version of WordPress, altered the WP_Config page and uploaded it all via FileZilla. I waited about 20 minutes and got it working. It just means I’ll have to re-do all the work I did to the website on the local host.
Thanks again.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 123reg wordpress install moving directory to root folderI’ve wasted most of my day trying to install a WordPress website, not a blog, onto the 123 Reg “Unlimited” hosting package. The automatic app installation offered by 123 Reg only installs to a subfolder, with no option to install directly to the root file. If I try uploading via Filezilla I cannot connect WordPress to it’s database. I’ve tried configuring the WP_Config file by adding the database details. Why have 123 Reg made the 5 Minute installation into a 5 hour (or day!) job? All the other hosts I’ve used have allowed me to create my own WordPress database (called “WordPress” so the installer can fine it!) and add a user for the new database. I’ve NEVER had problems like this! I’m now wasting *however* long waiting for 123 Reg to reply to my ticket. I had envisaged having the website half built by now. I’m so annoyed!
I’m also having this Page Not Found issue, but I can’t identify what .php file i need to alter to try to resolve this. Can anyone help please?

In reply to: [Event Calendar] [Plugin: Ajax Event Calendar] Cant add eventsIf you go to the calendar view and click on a day the Add Event form appears – except, on a 13″ Macbook at least, the form runs off the bottom of the screen so you can’t save the new event! Such a shame as I need something like this for a client, and this issue makes it unusable.
