I got rid of all of the other stuff, and now we have the profile on BOTH the author and the profile pages.

I’ve also got user images to display on the user feed – a mixture of some issues with our upload system and the slow response/loading time of our site was the cause behind this.

I noticed that on the profiles there is a tick box – I take it this allows a user to watch other users? If so, where would the notifications page be for users? If there isn’t a page for that, where could I find the data so that I can create a system which generates user notifications?

I’ve done that now, refreshed etc, and it didn’t work. I added some content prior to realising the author pages were still there – so do I need a shortcode to circumvent this, or should I remove the stuff I added in addition, switch off and switch it back on again?

Alternatively, it would be nice to be able to set UM so that when a user clicks on a username, it goes to just the profile page, rather than the author page.

Oh I see now! It’s under ‘followers’ on the extensions.

(I’ve no idea about ans press, I’m just interested in a follow-user function. )
