I have checked this request and cannot add it. Adding the author role would have side effects that require too much attention. Since I’m currently focusing on revamping Quick Featured Images, I need to take care of that task first before adding new features.

As you have found out, Ultimate Membership Pro is responsible for the problem. As I wrote, WordPress core generates the sitemap, not WP Sitemap Config. So, I would guess Ultimate Membership Pro is not compatible with the sitemap generator from WordPress. I would recommand to contact the plugin support of Ultimate Membership Pro to discuss the issue.

Thank you for contacting us. The sitemap is generated by WordPress. WP Sitemap Config supports you with some settings that are missing in WordPress core.

What you describe makes me think of a caching plugin that could be causing the error.

To make sure nothing else is interfering with the sitemap configuration, please disable all plugins except WP Sitemap Config and switch to a WordPress default theme.

Your request is not related to Quick Featured Images but to WordPress.

Access to the “Featured Image” box is controlled by the WordPress capability upload_files. You have to make sure the role does have the upload_files permission. Please note, this includes access to the Media Library. The role can than upload any file.

As you can see here, role Author has the capability upload_files by default, contributor not.

Custom post types will not be supported by Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails. To create a stunning list of recent posts with a thumbnail for custom post type you can use our plugin Ultimate Post List Pro which provides exactely this feature, and much more.

I have checked your page and it seems there is an issue wit the lazy load feature on your website.

There are classes that have been added to the image tag that are not from the Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails: wps-ic-local-lazy wps-ic-lazy-image.

Additional the src attribute has an svg file instead of the featured image thumbnail.

Since this seems to be manipulated by a third-party plugin, I can’t help you solve this problem. But I hope my information help you to find the reason.

This feature is not available for the free version. We are currently thinking about a paid Pro version with more features including support for custom post types. I guess if we decide for it, the version will be available in a couple of month, by the end of this year.

Quick Featured Images does support WooCommerce products with the Pro version (see Pro vs Free). You need to have a license to assign a featured image to a WooCommerce product.

But we will consider to add cache clearing for Seraphinite Accelerator in our next update (if possible). Please note, cache clearing is not supported with the free version.
