In reply to: www.ads-software.com site forcing me to use wordpress.com dashboardSo, I figured it out… and oh gosh… what a headache
For anyone in future that might read this and think this is exactly happening.
The issue MIGHT be for you – your public DNS cache, it’s a caching problem.
You need to ask your hosting provider if they can flush your DNS cache using this google tool – https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/cache (or another way if possible, this is the one I’ve been shown and what they did for me)
Or do it yourself if you know how…
And then, if you’re on a macbook go to Settings > Network> on your wifi select “details” > DNS > then forget the 1-2 IPs that are in there, open it back up, and put in google’s public DNS addresses (then keep it this way is what i’m doing) Mac version for me is sonoma 14.4.1 currently.
More info on google public dns here – https://www.brontobytes.com/blog/advantages-google-public-dns/
You replace the ones you have to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, which are googles.
Now try go to your domain and WP admin panel again.
(clear browser cache and anything else as well to make sure)
This completely solved the issue for me.- This reply was modified 6 months, 3 weeks ago by kyle4000.

In reply to: www.ads-software.com site forcing me to use wordpress.com dashboardYes so this is how i log in, using hoststinger, everything seems fine.
https://snipboard.io/xu58bc.jpg
Then, after jumping around a few tabs or going to the plugins, or at some point it will randomly refresh and ask me to log into wordpress.com – when I don’t do this and close the page the hoststinger wp admin now doesnt work with a wordpress.com 404 error like this
https://snipboard.io/BwX4Ax.jpg
but now that i have logged in to try see what happens if i log into wordpress.com when it asks…
It randomly takes me from this dashboard
https://snipboard.io/xu58bc.jpg
To this

In one click (when i click on something to the left on the www.ads-software.com dashboard with hostinger), which is the wordpress.com site and dashboard.
So if i am on the hoststinger www.ads-software.com site and click installed plugins, it loads the installed plugins on my wordpress.com dashboard like the image shown above with the staging domain. and it does this randomly at times… it’s not one certain thing that does it.
my domain and hosting is all pointed to hoststinger, it shouldn’t even pick up on wordpress.com.
