In reply to: Current Menu ItemMaybe unanswered was the wrong phrase. They were answered, just not in a way that helped.
This one didnt answer my question, but told me not to use camel-case, unless it was already part of the HTML, which it is.

In reply to: Current Menu ItemI truly don’t understand what happened. When I first started coming here WPYogi answered every question I had. Since then, the last, at least 4 questions, went unanswered. Did I end up on some kind of don’t answer list?

In reply to: Current Menu ItemI dont have a clue what camel-case means, but I copied that section from Firebug and pasted, then changed what I wanted.
Were you able to see/tell what the problem is that is keeping my menu from being the colors that I’ve outlined in the code?

In reply to: Main Menu – I killed it!It would really help if you could at least tell me WHERE the error is. I’m asking for help with a problem. Sending me to a page with 32 errors, most of which I didn’t code in the first place, isn’t helping me at all. The menu is invisible, after I changed something in the text section, which doesn’t make sense to me. If I knew where the code was that was messed up, I would have changed it back. Are you able to tell, by looking at your Firebug extension thingy, what I changed that made it go invisible? Because I can’t find it. If you can, I’d really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.
Thank you againForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Main Menu – I killed it!Thank you for the help. I AM using Firebug, and I’m trying to learn CSS, but I haven’t been able to figure out that problem.

In reply to: Sidebar and logo imageI’ve tried:
fixed,
absolute,
scroll
no-scroll
and nothing is working. The image on the far right, in the theme is the background image, the name of the image is logo2, I want it to move the heck outta the way when you scroll down the page, but apparently I’m not using the right code(s). I’m off to try other sidebar options now, perhaps I can answer another of my own questions and hope someone might be able to figure out some of my hopelessly unanswered ones. Wish me luck …

In reply to: Jet Pack Subscribe to Blog ButtonI got the email figured out, still trying to get help on the search bar color though.

In reply to: Logo Image vs Header Image?Okay, I do NOT know anything at all about PHP, but I found this code in the theme’s header.php:
<title><?php wp_title(); ?></title>
Could I just hard code it in there?

In reply to: Logo Image vs Header Image? It’s just the url, the tab does not say Progressive Insanity. Shoot, that’s another thing I didn’t notice. Can I put HTML in the CSS box? I do actually kinda know HTML, from many years ago, so I know how to enter it, I just don’t know where to put it.

In reply to: Logo Image vs Header Image? You don’t see the “Progressive Insanity” at the top left? I see it on both pages, but strangely, the header background that I just put up is only showing up on my About page. I would think if it only showed up somewhere then it should be on the Home page, but nope. Now what the heck is going on with that?? At the top header/logo you should see:
Progressive Insanity …. flag & guns ….. my logo
It’s filled out in the WP/Settings/General section. Goodness, please don’t tell me there’s yet another issue, I thought I was so close!

edited to add: I did log out and went to the site, just to make sure I was seeing what a visitor would see, and I still see the “Title”. Maybe the Progressive Insanity isn’t the title so you’re thinking there is something missing? I’m calling the site name, Progressive Insanity, the title and it’s at the top left – at least, it should be.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Jet Pack Subscribe to Blog ButtonPerhaps if you could just tell me where to find the relevant code I could figure out how to fix the search bar myself, but I’m trouble figuring out how to change the search button colors within the theme css, the JetPack thingie isn’t part of the theme – is it? The email question still has me stumped too …

In reply to: Sidebar and logo imageOkay, maybe someone has a suggestion for a different plugin that I can tell it what sidebars I want where and in what position? Maybe I can figure out the background image thing if I search some more, I was really tired last night and may have missed it.

In reply to: Logo Image vs Header Image?Generic Box, I just noticed your reply about my title. I hadn’t noticed anything out of sorts with that, I’ve been working so hard on everything else. If I put that code into the header.php of my current theme (Custom Community), won’t that change if/when I update the theme? I’m not sure enough of myself yet to even try doing a child theme, I scanned those instructions a week or so ago and “heck no, I’d mess something up, it’s way too involved. Is that code something that I can insert into the custom css box of the theme?
