I can confirm that there’s something screwy happening with the “this week” option on calendars/event lists. Trying to make one today, it’s showing games starting on the 7th of September, but I have 4 games scheduled between now and then that don’t show up.

In reply to: [Fixed Blix] Finally broke againFixed it. Still don’t have any idea what caused it to go wrong in the first place, but adding “overflow:hidden” to the container that was going wonky stopped it from doing it.

In reply to: [Fixed Blix] Finally broke againIt would appear the rollback isn’t the solution either, so maybe it’s not a WP update that’s causing the problem. I can’t think of what else I may have done to break that container, though. It was working prior to the last post I made, and restoring files to a month prior hasn’t done anything, nor has overwriting the existing WP install with 3.6.1 files.

In reply to: [Fixed Blix] Finally broke againI like the way the site looks and don’t feel like going through the pains of a full redesign, which would definitely have to happen if I switched themes. I guess the mentality of “always update” doesn’t work when your theme hasn’t been updated in 4 years, though. Can’t see a reason why I actually need WP to be updated, so I’m just going to rollback until I have one that justifies taking the time to redesign the site to work with a new theme.

In reply to: [Totally Booked] Two Column Archive DisplayI’ve dug around in the code as much as my remedial knowledge can handle, and can’t figure out a way to get the two column display I’m looking for. If one of the plugin developers, or anybody else for that matter, has any ideas at all, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

In reply to: [Totally Booked] Audio Player in Book ArchiveI’m no longer on the original topic of this thread, so if I should start a new one, please let me know. I’ve tinkered with my theme code enough to fix the issue I was having with everything being confined to the right side of the page. I’m having trouble figuring out a way to make the books show up in two columns, though. Any thoughts?

In reply to: [Totally Booked] Audio Player in Book ArchiveTurns out the workaround I found introduces another interesting problem. Any text links I try to include in the description (where the audio player code is going) aren’t clickable unless I put them in above the player. Nor are any Reader Extras clickable, in addition to displaying oddly behind the player. I can live without that, though, and links above the player actually works just fine for my purposes for now. Just thought I’d update in case anybody else is curious.

Nope; the right column ends with the Attributes box.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Totally Booked] Audio Player in Book ArchiveHi Kelli,
I haven’t implemented the plugin properly because I’m still working out how to make it function the way I need it to, but I do believe I will be soon. For now, the beginnings of it are at https://KyleMcCarley.com/books. I did manage a workaround to get the player to show in archive view by changing archive.php’s
<div class="entry-content">
to say<?php the_content(); ?>
instead of<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
. This would mean that any text I put for a description of the book will have to be rather short, because archives are going to be showing everything instead of just the first X number of words or characters, but I can live with that if I can’t find a better fix.My next step is figuring out, ideally, a way to have the archives displayed in two columns and fill up the whole page, instead of just the right half. I suspect the current display has to do with the way the plugin is interacting with the site’s theme

In reply to: [Totally Booked] Not Getting A Cover Thumbnail Over The Buy Now ThumbnailMaybe it’s because I’m using WordPress 3.6, but I don’t see a “Featured Book” section on any of my books. This is of secondary importance to me to the question I posted in the new thread “Audio Player in Book Archive,” but it would be nice to be able to display book covers.
