  • There is an issue with the Kadence Starter Template plugin that normally lives on the repository. Our team is working to get the plugin back up and available on the repository as soon as possible. In the interim, if you need a starter template, you can download the plugin from our site.

    https://www.kadencewp.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/kadence-starter-templates.zip

Simply download the zip, then go to your wp-admin and go to plugins > add new > upload and upload the starter template zip file from your hard drive and activate the plugin from there.

If you have sites created from a Kadence starter template, this does not have any impact on your sites. The plugin actually downloads and populates everything you need on your sites, so you can actually even deactivate & remove the starter template plugin after you’ve downloaded everything you need. (And actually, that would be my recommendation for ANY utility-based plugin that you rarely use; you can always install it again later if you need it later.)

We apologize for any temporary inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.

Thanks for inquiring about Wordfence. Fail2ban and iptables run are not web application specific security solutions, they run on the server and operate differently. Wordfence is an endpoint web application firewall that is tightly integrated with WordPress, and as such it can take advantage of numerous aspects of web application security that server applications cannot. For example, the realtime IP blacklist that takes advantage of the Wordfence security network data, implementing a rolling blacklist of malicious IP addresses with active attacks on WordPress sites would not be possible with fail2ban and I-tables. That being said, there are things that fail2ban and iptables can do that Wordfence cannot. We have a number of customers that use both quite successfully. I hope this answers your question.
