In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Error when updating JetpackHi all; I’ve had this problem repeatedly on my site for the last five or six Jetpack updates. I’ve had to manually reinstall the plugin multiple times. Is there a possible root cause for this I could be looking for?
Update: after several hours, the problem resolved itself. I can only assume it was a caching problem somewhere.

Hi Mike,
That was absolutely it. I was confusing the Feed Maximiser and the “Enhance Feeds” settings.
Thanks for your help!

In reply to: [Make] YouTube playlist embed not renderingQuick update in case anyone finds this and has the same problem as me – I’ve not used the shortcode before, only the plain URL. I made a mistake! There’s no “=” character, only a space; it’s like an external link on Wikipedia. I fixed my syntax and all worked correctly.
Note that the documentation on the use of shortcodes is a little confusing, though; while it correctly uses a space, all of the linked examples under the YouTube shortcode instructions lack a closing square bracket. Make sure you include one in yours!

In reply to: Themes – Sufficient PermissionsI had the same problem, and in addition, the sidebars don’t display correctly. In the theme options page the sidebars were set to appear to the left and right of the main column, but they both appear to the right. I had Mandigo installed before the upgrade to 3.0, and it was working correctly under 2.9.2.
I asked about this on the theme’s home page, and it has now been upgraded to be WordPress 3.0 compatible; the current version is 1.42. I’m about to upgrade it and see if this fixes both these problems.

In reply to: Widgets don’t drag and drop as advertisedNo luck with the Use Google Libraries plugin; I’m also not using any of the plugins or themes mentioned in this thread as causing the problem. It’s affecting plugins that use the drag and drop interface too, primarily Gigs Calendar. If anyone has any fresh ideas, I’d love to hear them; otherwise I’ll cross my fingers for a new WP update soon and hope that fixes it.

In reply to: Widgets don’t drag and drop as advertisedI just experienced this problem for the first time today after upgrading to 2.9.1. I’ve tried the Use Google Libraries plugin, but no joy so far. I’ll let you know if I come up with something.

In reply to: NAVT Tool is broken…I am experiencing the same error message with a recently upgraded installation of 2.2.2. Oddly enough, it worked when I installed it manually; I then installed the separate Pluginstaller plugin, which advised there was an upgrade available (thought the “upgrade” had the same version number). After the upgrade, the NAVT plugin could not be activated, even after disabling Pluginstaller and reinstalling it from the same zip I originally downloaded. The version is .95.37. The only thing I did with NAVT while it was working was to create one group and add to it three of my already established categories.
