To be honest, I don’t really know. It is called a Nivio slider. I think it came with the theme. I created a “child” of the theme on my server so that it would not get effected by updating the WP. My theme is called “mimino”. If it is a matter of the theme’s slider being buggy, should I download a different slider and try and add that instead? I saw one that looked like it was a good one… Smooth Slider?

Good to know, Thanks. I’ve enlisted the help of a WP wiz to help me things that I can’t change with this theme. I will chose more wisely next time!

Thanks so much. I appreciate it… I am going to read the article on firebug and see if I can get a good grip on it. I often don’t know where I should be looking to try and change something…if it is a theme specific issue or a WP thing.

I have tried three times to get some support from the theme’s author but have had no reply up to this point. I like the theme and it works well for what I was after so I don’t want to change it at this point.

I just downloaded firebug but I have to figure out how to use it…

I have a child theme created…but I haven’t copied anything over yet. I will do that and try and see if I can get a handle on firebug….

It was the most suitable in the way it looked for what my client was looking for…I wish I could change it now but it’s too late!!

I’m going to write the site I downloaded it from and see if someone there can help me on their forums….

Can I ask you a general question…I have created a page title PUBLISHERS and it has a submenu of specific publisher’s under/in it. Does WordPress not allow that main page (PUBLISHERS) to have a landing page? As it is now, when I click on the publishers button, it just opens and closes the menu and does not navigate to the actual publishers page that I have created in the PAGES section…

Here are two examples of the issue I am having with the menu in the sidebar….

I am using Mimino. I think I’ve found the solution for this particular problem I was having but I am finding this theme a little buggy (I don’t have a lot of experience with wordpress so I am not sure half the time if it is me or if there is an issue with the theme….

For example, the menu on the sidebar gets all mashed together on certain pages and not on others…I think it is a content thing but I am not sure how to go about fixing it…would you be able to help me with that?

I added the code you gave me above but it didn’t remove the line….is it for sure the contact box area?

Yay!! It doesn’t have the red lines anymore around the menu!Can I ask you what I would use to remove the lines from above the FB icon?

Ah, I had not put the template location down, that’s why it wasn’t working….there weren’t a lot of instructions with this theme…

I’ll give it a shot and let you know how it goes…:)
