So I discovered an issue with both an outdated child theme and a conflicting plugin. Another of those usual problems with conflicting versions of jQuery between custom themes, plugins and WordPress.
Thanks for all the feedback and patience!
I’ve switched between four different lightbox types, deactivated all the other plugins, cleared the browser cache, and have double checked the scripts to make sure the plugin update for NextGen was installed properly… still can’t quite iron out what may be causing the issue. Anybody else run into this?
I’ve done the suggestion of switching to another Lightbox Effect, and it doesn’t appear to have made a difference.

In reply to: Ridiculous italicsWe’ve been consistently noticing this since the 3.5 update and have just filed it under ‘another WordPress bug’ like how you can’t add span classes, you can’t add paragraph tags, etc. etc.
We’ve seen this on over a dozen fresh installs of WP, so it’s certainly not a theme issue but a serious one with WP.
Why hasn’t this been addressed yet??

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] WPtouch not workingWe’re having this same problem with iPhone. Our client is anxious to get this sorted out as fast as possible.
What I did to edit those headers was just to double click on the heading fields in the Form Options page and they turned into editable fields so I could change them to say whatever I wanted.

In reply to: [Promotion Slider] [Plugin: Promotion Slider] IE8 CompatibilityThe solution ended up being to remove the float completely and refine the CSS elements that spoke to the surrounding divs. Thanks again for the responses! If you’re curious what the slider looks like in a responsive format, take a look at the mods we implemented here: https://clients.chromemedia.com/rosemount/

In reply to: [Promotion Slider] [Plugin: Promotion Slider] IE8 CompatibilityI’ve found a solution among the CSS including the float issue in IE8.
Thanks for the hasty response!
