In reply to: Theme Folder Getting Deleted AutomaticallyI posted this on the above link too.
Nope. I did try everything I could think of but still cant find what is causing the auto delete. Sometimes it can take a few days and sometimes a few hours. My main suspect is my Nextgen gallery plug in (everybody is telling me it’s not WordPress that deletes the directory) but I couldn’t find any line or command that would do it yet. Now I’m thinking of redoing the site all together but the problem is I can’t. I need the Nextgen… In short – no solution yet ?? Also a Linux dedicated server.
And I also checked my server and it’s completely clear of any malware and there are no cronjobs (no scheduled tasks)or anything like that. It just deletes itself and that’s it.

In reply to: Themes directory keeps auto deletingWell I’m going through that right now. The only plug in used is nextgen-gallery and that’s it. It doesn’t happen right away. As I said everything works fine sometimes for 10 hours and sometimes for 2 days and then it just deletes itself… Can’t find anything wrong with the plug in for now. I just cant figure it out. There is no warning, no blank screen – the dashboard works fine. There is no error message or anything. Just themes folder is not there anymore. It’s just driving me crazy… Gonna make another wordpress install on another domain and make the same thing using different theme under cherry and nextgen gallery to see what happens then.

In reply to: Themes directory keeps auto deletingAh well I thought that it miht be the child theme, but still cant find what is it. Yes – the whole themes folder deletes. I only use (apart from what comes with wordpress) cherryframework and child theme45028 (it’s a tatoo theme that I bought a while a go dont know if there is another name for it) and nextgen-gallery plugin and that’s it. I tried all kinds of install including manual. The last one was through wordpress normally. I install cherry, update it – then theme and plug in. I also tried wp 3.8, 3.9 and old version of cherry (for which the theme was actually made) and the folder gets deleted any way… other than that everything else works perfectly in any combination and no matter how I install it… I’m completely confused… The only thing I havent examined so far is that something else on the server can access and delete it. But according to my hosts support that’s not the case… The domain is on my server which hosts some other sites of mine but there is no other wordpress installation…

In reply to: Themes directory keeps auto deletingWell actually it seems it does. I did call my host and we started the file audit on themes directory. Sure enough it was deleted again and we went through the log files. It is some php application on the domain that is deleting it. I am going through all php’s trying to find any line or command (delete, unset, unlink etc) which could mess up things but just cant find it yet. It’s not hacked or anything (the domain is not public, it’s under pass and the only one accessing it is me – I checked it out). That is why I ask if anyone had similar issues – to narrow the search. I’ll find out what it is eventually.
