FYI,

I have been checking my second woocommerce site. This site has a very low volume of orders, and I have found some weird things.

1. Invoices for canceled orders appear to have been generated after the order date, at least the invoice date indicates so.
2. The canceled invoices numbers can be greater than the completed invoices, even if the orders are done some days before.

If you want to have a copy of these invoices just let me know how can i get them to you

Yes, I did set the “Completed order” email notification before today and no invoices were generated for canceled orders, just for completed orders (even if the ‘Disable for:’ setting was empty).

Now, today, I just set the ‘Disable for:” setting with all statuses except ‘Completed order’ hoping it fixes the issue.

However, I think the interface should explain a little bit more (maybe with a little note close to the label ‘Disable for:’ ) what is the purpose of this setting. For me, there is some kind of contradiction to “enable” invoices in the first setting, then “disable” invoices in the next setting. I understand that if you want to enable invoices for one or more statuses you don’t need to disable invoices for the rest of statuses. It does neither make sense to me, to generate an invoice for a canceled order.

I finally found the solution to the problem.

I was trying to give access to my admin WP account to an elementor support staff that wasn’t able to login into my WP backend. My hosting provider has rules for WP admins that don’t allow people to log in if they don’t have one of the official languages from Spain installed on their browser (as was the case of this person). So chatting with my hosting support I find out they also have these kinds of rules for people trying to fill up a form in our woocommerce store (like the checkout!!).

I have disabled these rules and now the orders can be completed (at least from the test I have done).

Could I ask you to try again to complete an order from my site so we can be sure the issue is gone?

It doesn’t seem so, but please make sure to update to the latest version to see if that makes a difference.

In an attempt to simplify the setup process, since WooCommerce 6.8.0 a new feature called Smart Shipping was introduced and in this case, it is that feature that has kicked in and added the new shipping zone.

There is no wrongdoing on your part as this was introduced with the core version of the plugin.

Lately, they recognize this update was just intended for new sites. So this issue was a bug and is already fixed.
