In reply to: [Seriously Simple Stats] Charts in statistics are missing. What to do?Thank you! It’s a great plug-in and the graph was a nice representation, so it is missed.
@timefortales It appears you solved the problem as your site and episode covers look great!
@podcastmotor Love the idea. My current theme doesn’t have feature image support. Thank you for the business rules behind choosing images.

In reply to: [Serene] Simple and elegant, hard to get meta and category outFound it the PHP code to remove in Apperance->editor->Content.php, find and comment out (or remove): <?php et_postinfo_meta(); ?>
I must be bad at CSS because much of the time, what I do in style.css doesn’t work. This could be due to it getting overridden by some other CSS. Anyone know how to trouble shoot CSS and what’s overriding what I’m putting into style.css?

In reply to: Can’t Insert Photos into Posts!!Crikey! I have the same problem (clicking “insert into post” results in a white screen). I migrated my blog from my old system and now I can’t insert photos into the post. Since I kept the same versions (at least at the version X.X level, I don’t know about the minor versions), I’m inclined to think it’s a PHP problem. I’m on BlueHost, BTW. I was self hosted before.
I’d like to be able to easily insert images again. ??

In reply to: Akismet – API Key for WordPress/Network Solutions Users?Registering for a new WordPress account times out as well. I’m kind of stuck here. I think I need to find the key in my old installation. My old installation is the blog which I migrated to the new installation. Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out how to get the UI up to look at the akismet settings.
Right now, I think the easiest thing is to retrieve the key from it’s storage location. But where is it stored at? MySql?

In reply to: Akismet – API Key for WordPress/Network Solutions Users?Since I’ve moved to China, I haven’t been able to get https://WordPress.com/profile to come up. It always times out so now I can’t get access to my Akismet key.
I don’t know what the problem is. It’s been consistently timing out for a month now.
I have an older installation of WordPress that has the key. Anyone know what file I can find the key in? Or perhaps it’s in the DB?
Thanks,

In reply to: Registered Only Plugin Breaks File UploadingThis plugin does nothing to protect your wp-content directory. For example, visit https://<hostname>/wp-content/uploads/2009/
and you’ll see pictures.??

In reply to: mailpress upload media pluginI haven’t read any of the instructions for MailPress but I’ve successfully include media in my MailPress mailings. I use MailPress to send out what I’ve posted on the blog which includes many pictures. When I’m ready to create an email I go to blog, copy the *HTML*, then go to Write->MailPress, create an email by pasting the HTML I copied into the *HTML* tab of the MailPress editor. Click save, and then review it. You should see images etc. I haven’t used the “new upload media” button.

In reply to: WP v2.6 – Registration Email not sent!I had similar issues on OSX. As Omgitztrey said, Unix systems have sendmail and if you’re trying to send registration emails via your Yahoo, Gmail, or any other system that requires you to send messages via a mail system that requires authentication, then you need to configure the Unix sendmail program.
For more details, click on my member link and see what I’ve posted to recently about configuring this under OSX (linux will be similar).

In reply to: WordPress Registration Email settings, where are they? Here are the pertinent changes that MailServe did to my /etc/postfix/main.cf (You’ll still need to setup the password DB which is covered in the link about configuring authentication in Postfix, mentioned in the second post of this thread):
###Start MailServe### biff=no alias_maps=hash:/usr/local/cutedge/postfix/etc/aliases alias_database=hash:/usr/local/cutedge/postfix/etc/aliases smtpd_sender_restrictions=check_sender_access hash:/usr/local/cutedge/postfix/etc/access inet_interfaces=all message_size_limit=0 mailbox_size_limit=0 myorigin=skind.net myhostname=postfix.skind.net relayhost=smtp.comcast.net smtp_sasl_auth_enable=yes smtp_sasl_password_maps=hash:/usr/local/cutedge/postfix/etc/sasl_passwd smtp_sasl_security_options= smtp_use_tls=yes ###End MailServe###
I hope this helps others!
