Oh man…what a chore! I’m glad that you have it sorted out and good reminders to not have things on automatic upgrades!
Is the new site hosted with a new hosting company? You’ll need update the DNS nameservers to the new hosting company’s nameservers.
I had the same thing happen to me…worked for 3 hours on it and even tried to migrate the site manually. I got the same error.
Found out that the hosting company was very bad – slow, only allowed small chunks (only 150MB) to be uploaded, etc.). So my guess is that the uploaded files were corrupt due to the slow uploads.
I had my client switch to another company – I use Namecheap, but Bluehost is also good too – and it worked super fast with no problems (they allow several GB for uploads). She was able to get her money back from the other hosting company.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Unable to downloadgo to your file manager via cpanel and go to your public_html/wp-content/ai1wm-backups folder.
Download the .wpress file from your file manager.
If you’re still on the same host, upload it (or FTP) to the corresponding folder in the new location …/wp-content/ai1wm-backups
Restore it.

I had the same problem with a client of mine. The issue was that it was a terrible host that was really slow. I convinced my client to move her hosting to Namecheap and had no problems. This is unrelated to all-in-one migration. Your database needs to be updated.
* Log into your cpanel and go to PHPmyadmin
* Click on the database that’s associated with your website.
* go to wp-options and under option_name, look for siteurl and home.
* make sure the URLs there have right URL.It could also be that your DNS settings haven’t yet fully propagated. It takes 24 hours and is dependent on when your ISP dumps your old DNS cache.
Bluehost has a pretty good live chat support. They can walk you through it if you’re not comfortable with the above.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Backup tripled in sizeAnother thing that I did was that I went to my file manager and looked to see if I had any other backups in my folders. Also check out any leftover files from plugins that you might’ve deleted.
I found 4 backup files from a previous backup plugin that I had uninstalled and deleted those.
I then FTPed it into the wp-contents/ai1wm-backups folder (I didn’t use the Import feature within WordPress).
The plugin ran beautifully (after several failed attempts and hangups) and the site was migrated within minutes.
Trust me…I was totally frustrated too and was ready to migrate the site manually, but thought I’d give it one last shot. *phew*
Good luck!

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Backup tripled in sizeHave you tried to optimize your database?
Pages and posts save a lot of backups so I try to keep the number of backups to a minimum using this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/rvg-optimize-database/
I used it on a few sites and it cleared things up a bit.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Backup tripled in sizeUpdate: realized what the issue was. I wasn’t deleting the backups.
Tip:
1. Run All-in-One
2. Save backup to computer (don’t save it in your WP folder)
3. Delete backup

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Backup tripled in sizeI’m having the same issue. 4 months ago, my backups size was 1.47 GB. I haven’t made too many updates (other than text) since then and now the file size is 14GB which makes things impossible to download.
I’ve had this problem with other sites I manage as well. The first time, it works like a charm (I have the Unlimited Extension), but the subsequent time, the files are always huge.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] permalink issue (I think)In case the URL is down, it’s because I’m trying the import/export one more time to see if it resolves itself.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Hidden Cost! It’s worth the extra cost. I migrated a site over 2GB and while it took awhile to export, it’s worth it. Now I use it for all of my site migration.
Also FWIW, it says on the plugin description homepage that there’s a restriction of 512 MB and the commercial version supports up to 5GB. I didn’t read it either and wasted a couple of hours wondering what was up.
Trust me. It’s the best $60 you’ll ever spend and you can use it on all future projects.
Figured out what it was (funky export)
Marking as resolved…
