So I’ve had the php.ini settings modified to where there should be no issues, I’ve installed via FTP, changed the .htaccess file.

I’ve searched to see if the issue is multi-site compatibility but was unable to turn anything up and the only reference in the forum is for the premium and there is no answer (understandably so!) but if you could just let me know yay or nay on compatibility with multi-site it would be greatly appreciated.

I tried all the other options but nothing changed and I wasn’t applying any custom styles or templates. Just whatever the defaults are set to.

Hey, I just figured this out! It’s not actually in the PHP file. You style it in the short code itself.

These are the elements that can be styled in the shortcode directly:
author_tag, author_class, catlink_tag, catlink_class, comments_tag, comments_class, date_tag, date_class,excerpt_tag, excerpt_class, morelink_class, thumbnail_class, title_tag, title_class, posts_morelink_class

So, I wanted the post title/link to be an h3 header tag so here is what I did to put h4 tags around it based on the available parameters:
[catlist id=4 numberposts=10 title_tag=h3 title_class=lcptitle excerpt=yes thumbnail=yes posts_morelink=”Read More”]

There is a way to make a template file of your own but this was enough for me. Hope that helps!

I tried that but all it did was import ‘blank’ posts. They all just said “no title” and there was no way to open them, edit them or even any checkboxes to delete them. I had to go in through the database.

The two differences I spotted off the bat were the language and the author ID. My file has just ‘en’ as the language rather than ‘en-US’ and no author IDs but that could be a wordpress.com thing as I don’t see a way to determine user IDs in the .com site.

After thinking for a bit, I ran it through a validator and received this error: 4851: 145 The prefix “atom” for element “atom:link” is not bound..

I’m not sure how to fix this issue or what it means. From my file:

I am having the same issue. I noticed when I installed the plugin on my latest site, it said not tested with the current version of WordPress which would be the latest – 3.5.1.

I am having a similar issue. I have multisite set up. My main site, https://www.the-tma.org – permalinks will not work but the subsite, https://www.the-tma.org/oilandgas does work with permalinks. When i switch the main site permalinks and try to visit a page i get ‘Error Establishing database connection’.

the .htaccess file is there, mod_rewrite is enabled – i consulted the host regarding the httpd.conf file – and AllowOverride is set to everything being a-ok.

I was able to do this on my localhost server on my computer so i’m really not sure how else to wrap my head around it. thanks!
