I got help from my ISP. He said he had an idea and went to work. Will get back here once I figure out what he did. I can now login, but it seems they messed up the character encoding so ?????? etcetera come out wrong. Please see: https://www.farm.se. That will have to wait. We’re going away over the holidays.

The active theme is/was Twenty Ten. I think it is unmodified. Over the years, the need to modify has decreesed as WordPress has evolved.

There were no active plugins and just make sure the plugins folder was renamed XX_plugins.

I have the very same problem since 4.1. My error_log has no recent entries. The latest entry is several hours old and refers to a missing picture unrelated to the wordpress installation. I am using 3% of allowed disc space and 1 % of allowed traffic. I have a separate question/thread about this, but no replies so far.

So, why does WordPress leave some quotes and replace others? It seems as if only the ones within parentheses are altered. In the same post there are other ‘”‘ characters that WordPress leaves alone. Why is this character replacement even considered desirable?

Same question. The above code has no effect on my system when moved into the wordpress 1.5 default header.php #headerimg url(… It could be (1) installation (images with rotate.php in current theme dir or (2) my (miss-)use of CSS (likely please help) or (3) that code is somehow incompatible with my system (www.farm.se/info.php)

I use the latest (2.1??) and the date is displayed on my sticky posts. One curiosity is that if I use the “classic” theme I get an “Important message”, no date but time displayed. If I use wordpress 1.5 default I get no “important message”, I DO get the date, but no time… file put in plugin dir and activated. checkbox clicked in wordpress. no other config.

OK, is there some setting within WordPress that allows me to control ownership of uploaded files? or is this the intended behaviour?
