@rsddave Thank you so much for writing in about this! The vulnerability from Wordfence has been patched, and you can resolve it by updating to v118. ??
@imarkinteractive Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention!
Our devs are currently investigating the issue and will work to get a fix ready to go in v119.
I’ll reach out here as soon as that update is ready to go. ??
Hi, @65erik65. Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention!
The additional files are there to bring more features than the standard link cloaking (though it still does this). Simple URLs now offers product displays, Amazon product data, updated link attributes, Classic and Gutenberg shortcuts, and more.
The file size has changed, but please rest assured it’s small enough not to have a meaningful impact on your site’s performance. The only thing we like to impact is an increase in revenue. ??
Plus, we’ll always investigate any issues with site speed, performance, you name it – all free of charge.
While Simple URLs has been modernized, we understand it’s not for everyone. It sounds like you’ve found a backup that’ll work, but if you happen to need something more recent, we do have an option to revert to the old Simple URLs layout under Settings > General > User Interface.
Hi, @cliffpaulick! Just an update that the Changelog (starting with v116) can now be found at: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-urls/#developers
Many thanks for bringing this to our attention!
@cliffpaulick Ask and you shall receive. ??

- Fixed an edge-case where you wouldn’t see Pretty Links imports.
- Ability to disable support.
We’re working on a few other improvements we can’t wait to share, but then we’ll hop back here and get that Changelog automated.
Until then, I’ll make sure to report back here when the next releases go live.
If you ever don’t see the update, please reach out, and I’ll make sure it gets added ASAP.
Hey Clifford, another great question!
That feature currently exists in the paid version of Lasso.
Ie: If you had
linktosomewhere.com
in a post, then addedlinktosomewhere.com
in Lasso, Lasso would then detect it and show you the Locations where it was detected. At the latest, it should detect every instance within 24 hours. But if you hit Update on a specific post, we’ll detect it there nearly instantly. We also have Custom Post Type identifiers in case you need to look somewhere custom on your site.
From there, you could make any changes to the link in Lasso (change the URL, change the rel attributes, etc), and it would update all of the Locations automatically.
Let me know if that helps, or if I can clarify anything?

The whole team is thrilled to hear about that conversion increase. Glad to hear the combo with Geniuslink is a winner and that everything’s going well.
Here’s hoping those conversion rates keep climbing. ??
@alchemixbar Thank you so much for the kind words! So glad you gave Lasso a try. ??
If there are ever any features you’d like to see to make things even easier, please give us a shout!
This is resolved in v112. Once you update, it will temporarily put you on the new UI. However, if you navigate to Settings > General, you can toggle “Enable Old UI” at the bottom of the lefthand column.
Then hit “Save Changes” to go back to the original UI, and the plugin will remove the new UI’s CSS.
Thank you for reporting this!
@mustbepro Thank you so much for the kind words! It truly means the world to us.

@webcreationz Hi Bas, just wanted to let you know that this is fixed.
If you’re using the new interface, you can download the latest version from getlasso.co/download. You can just deactivate/delete the old version and put this one in its place. All your links will still be there waiting for you. ??
The fix will also go live in v112 on Wednesday if you’d prefer to update directly in WordPress.
And if you’d like to use the old interface but still get the fix, we’ll have that option ready for you shortly, too.
Thanks for reporting this, Bas!
@webcreationz Hey Bas, thanks for bringing this to my attention! I’m creating a bug report for it now, and our devs will get that cleared up for you. ??
As soon as the fix is live, I’ll reply back here right away. If you see anything else in the meantime, please let me know! Thanks again, Bas.
@mobiflip Hey René, thanks for reporting this! I’ve created a ticket with our devs on your behalf, so we can get this fixed ASAP.
I’ll respond here as soon as that fix is ready for you, and the CSS and script code are able to be turned off. Thanks, René!
