I’m also trying to do this and haven’t been able to find anything in the gallery documentation (https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Gallery_Shortcode) that explains how to do it.

(I have seen lots of explanations for linking the Gallery thumbnail to a full sized image, but I’m looking for the same solution CutterSmith describes)

Can anyone help, please?

Brilliant – I did read that part in the codex but I didn’t realise that’s what the htaccess file was.

Thanks for the offer but that doesn’t seem to work. I’m brand new to WP and PHP so finding the appropriate part of the codex has proved difficult.

This is great but how could I change it so that it only lists pages on the next level down, not every level down. For example I have

Issues Archive
– Volume 1
— Issue 1
— Story 1
— Story 2
— Issue 2
— Issue 3
– Volume 2

So when I’m in ‘Issues Archive’ it only lists ‘Volume 1’ and ‘Volume 2’, and when I’m in ‘Volume 1’ it only lists ‘Issue 1’, ‘Issue 2’ and ‘Issue 3’.
