In reply to: [Comment Attachment] Video thanks & questionsHi there mate,
firstly. The video/audio player feature is purely experimental and the supported video formats for video playback in wordpress 3.6(and higher) are: ‘mp4’, ‘m4v’, ‘webm’, ‘ogv’, ‘wmv’, ‘flv’. So .mov won’t do.
Secondly, if you upload a massive file, and it spins and then stops – possible on wp-comments-post.php right? and without any error, my guess would be, you’ve excceeded one of theese:
- max_execution_time
- max_input_time
- memory_limit
– whichever comes first, while uploading that big file. In general I wouldn’t advise to upload big files thru wordpres, that’s why it gives you option for file size limit.

In reply to: [Comment Attachment] can i have accept any file attachment with this plugin?webmystery
Oh yeah, you’re right ?? Anyways yes – in next version, I’m planning on adding video as well (mp3 is in place already), but incorporate (if set in settings of course) native wordpress MP3 / Video player with that.
That’d be neat I reckon.

In reply to: [Comment Attachment] Not working anymore? The only problem I see might be in your server not allowing you to use file_info functions, which gives us the correct mime type of the file ?? that I check as a protection matter – same as file extension.
If your server does not allow it, it gives something like “application/octet-stream” which isn’t correct. Also, the docx extension needs to be checked in admin if the above is relevant and your server does allow file_info.

In reply to: [Comment Attachment] can i have accept any file attachment with this plugin? As of now, it’s limited to the ones in plugin admin, that being jpg / gif / png / pdf / doc / docx …
In future update, I’ll definitely widen the range of file types you can allow with your comment. Presumably most of the ones that can be inserted in native wordpress media library – or maybe even all of them. (These: https://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/ )
