  • Thank you Greg. I tried to do this based on the exact code you gave above for changing the field on the add listing page but could not get the dropdown to appear on the front search page.

I replaced that line with the select field but it does not seem to be working. Do you know what the new code should look like?

In list, what should be changed to reflect the dropdown on the search page?

i disabled the new order email notification and this SIGNIFICANTLY improved the load time. The load time is still not ideal but this is the only thing that has seemed to work. Please note, I did not disable customer email notifications, just the email that gets sent to me when a user submits an order. Easy fix and very helpful.

Please note I tried all of the following, but the only thing that helped was email deactivation.

My server is digitalocean 2GB Ram 30GB SSD Disk.

    I have tried:

    1) deregistering the heartbeat api
    2) increasing the memory limit (96M) and php memory limit (64M)
    3) my WP URL and site URL match
    4) switched to default wp theme (no change)
    5) same issue on http and https
    6) logged in and non logged in – issue persists

disabling the email seemed to be the thing that fixed this issue

have you found a solution for this? I do have a premium woocommerce plugin and was able to get support for this. Unfortunately, it has not proven to be helpful. I am really at a loss for what to do – it seems like a number of people have had this issue and nothing is working. My server is digitalocean 2GB Ram 30GB SSD Disk.

    I have tried:

    1) deregistering the heartbeat api
    2) increasing the memory limit (96M) and php memory limit (64M)

    woocommerce support replied with:
“I’ve seen those but there is no concrete cause. Unless someone can give proof and solution that works, we can’t move forward with this as we don’t see this issue on our end.”

this is a huge issue for us as we are having customers complain that the checkout process is slow. they feel our site is broken. the site is only slow when they checkout using any payment method with woocommerce – non of the other pages are slow.

Thank you worddug – this is helpful. I am using VPS (digitalocean) but still seeing this issue

-using woocommerce with stripe and paypal (both equally slow ~90+ seconds after payment submitted)

-Using https but issue persists with http and https

-server: 2GB Ram 30GB SSD Disk

    -(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’96M’); php_value memory_limit 64M

yeah i tried logging out as well but nothing is helping. users are complaining about the site being broken because of how painfully slow the process is

haha, thank you. i am using digitalocean to host.

i showed them my concern in addition to these:
I have seen this issue reported on other support forums as well:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/admin-ajaxphp-being-called-from-admin-pages-causing-db-connection-issues
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/admin-ajaxphp-issue-3
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/admin-ajaxphp-slow-server-response-time

the response was: I’ve seen those but there is no concrete cause. Unless someone can give proof and solution that works, we can’t move forward with this as we don’t see this issue on our end.

yes i have wp-debug set to true. i am having an issue with woocommerce and speed on the checkout section of my site. i contacted their support directly, they asked me to set debugging to true, and when i showed them the log they suggested i contact you to fix these issues as they believe this is causing the checkout process to move slowly.

i dont believe these warnings are what is causing the checkout to be slow but the woocommerce support team is struggling to come up with why it would be taking so long to load just the checkout page. i am also struggling to find the answer but i figured it would not hurt to contact you in order to check that this is not the reason.

i have updated it to its latest version. how would you suggest reinstalling it? the site is live and i would hate to lose all the settings we have spent so much time on creating

the code did not work for me – are there any other fixes out there?

thanks so much cjuczak. i disabled the heartbeat but didnt see much of a difference on my site. i also asked woothemes for some help on this. my checkout process is grueling.
