I would like to take the input from Gravity into CFDB and transfer on the same site as a Woocommerce order. (So instead of from Woocommerce to CFDB… from CFDB to Woocommerce.)

I just installed this yesterday or the day before.

I literally had no idea what this could do. I looked at exports and it’s amazing. Literally, what I just saw happen caused me to doubletake and say (aka ref the plugin author), “You are the most incredible genius in the history of the world”.

And I wondered if you could make my Gravity Form input not only go to Google Sheets but go straight into Woocommerce database (I’ve set Gravity Fields as Woocommerce meta field in field mapping… the same names).

Wow!

I was immediately like, “Where is the pro version of this? He’s already earned it”.

PS… If there is some kind of WordPress solution right now… where there is security… plus it’s user friendly for people to register front end at membership sites… that would be great.

Everything was so complicated, that I just closed the site down except for one page and used a Gravity Form membership registration form with styling… and called it good. That’s good enough for my membership site purposes. https://graceexplosion.com/registration-login/

It’s the quandary of too hard for people to register and login. These are not WordPress people per say. These are people who know me from outside WordPress… who come particularly to see my sites… and have never done this whole WordPress thing before.

I hadda put a “hey, contact me now if you’re locked out and can’t figure out this whole WordPress thing” form on there too. ?? I mean, I’d like to solve this and not have to have that second form on there… because it’s not so many steps and so hard for people. ??

Won’t be long now… and I’ll really need this to work right… because it’s too much of my time already and I’m not even that busy opening the door for people right yet.

Yes. Same problem. Attempting in custom Contributor user role.

Works for admin. Does not work in other role.

This plugin would work well. I would simply wrap in a “hide unless user is logged in” function… for front end post submission… if the media upload worked.

May be a plugin conflict. Yet, not working for me either.

Yes, phrased this way I applied formatting/styling directly in the editor under Newsletters > Configuration > System Emails > Latest Posts.

Yes, I really like to just go in and use something as a user. Learning CSS would feel like I’m applying myself outside my primary value. Having spent 3-5 hours a day reading the Bible learning systematic theology for over 40 years, and having set forth systematic theology at a level that increases the theological library of biblical study presenting 70% + of what the library of theologians before me could not see… I am really adverse to learning computer language. It’s left-brained… and I’ve delivered to the body of Christ the power to see in scripture before time, in time, and after time at a level that is the greatest revelation of the church age.

Sincerely, there is incredible resistance in me to use my mind in a different methodology of reason. And I did work that is enough for me to live on for the rest of my life.

I’m exhausted from trying to figure out how to put the font in here and how to insert vids in newsletters.

It’s not likely I will apply myself to learn CSS though if I did learn it, things would be easier in making alterations.

My brain is trained to function in a different manner to see what cannot be seen… and learning CSS language would be like asking a cat to learn how to bark. lol

**For anyone who reads this… Using the “Add Media” URL function does not show. Using the “embed” from YT or from tinymce to add media with embed code does not show.

What shows is if you type the URL directly into your post. Then, the livelink of YT URL will show in your newsletter… and the YT vid shows under the newsletter “like an attachment”.

At least in my configuration. (Yet, as stated above, I want the vid itself to show in the newsletter content/excerpt area… so I will explore using an email client where it does work.)

Tribulant Newsletters is the absolute best. ?? I do not want to change newsletter program. It’s so user friendly and feature packed and nothing I tried before settling on it compared. Not EVEN close!! Thanks. ??

I found forum article on this topic (listed below). Personally, I would like for the vids to show in newsletters. If I need to change what email client I use, I am willing to do that. I like this newsletter program (have the pro version)… and if I need to pay for email client… I’d consider. I don’t want to change newsletter program… this Tribulant is the best as user friendly and feature packed. So, any solution ideas?

It is working for me to put a link into the newsletter of the YT URL… and the YT tape is thus appearing as attachment under the newsletter. That is good. Yet, I still want the vid to show in the actual excerpt/content portion as well.

I am going to look at email client services (where I don’t have to use their newsletter program – I like this Tribulant Newsletter and don’t want to change) as potential addon solution.

Video support in newsletters is an issue because of what email clients support.

The best and most universal way of putting videos in newsletters is by putting an image of the video into the newsletter with a link to a post/page on your site with the video on it. Or even a link directly to the YouTube video.

That way you are certain that all your readers can click and then view the video.

I was able to change the font to an appearance I chose. This is how I did it. If it helps others… can make changes as desired to font sizes adapting from this:

**I will add an update. I sent an after hours note to Vaultpress asking for service. Vaultpress did try to work with me after I had already tried with GoDaddy to get GoDaddy WordPress Managed restore function to work for 24 hours. However, it was already too late for me because I had tried for over 24 hours to get it to work. I decided to rebuild my site instead from scratch which I did in just a few hours and with less frustration factor. GoDaddy rep told me I could not easily restore from Vaultpress directly to Managed Hosting account. Vaultpress said they would make it work. Vaultpress had good service in communicating with me when they did communicate with me. I’d improve the rating from 1 to higher if I could change it today for the sake of their service. It was just too frustrating after hours of trying with GoDaddy to restore… and so I gave it a 1 after that.

Hi Ben & Angelo!

Just a note to let you know I’ve been learning as I go. #1 is that things are ez for volunteers. I’m getting equipment for my house and a leader’s house for radio broadcast. Centralize capture of the mp3’s. So, I’ll create the podcasts so volunteers don’t have to. I bought managed VPS with dedicated space. Just starting radio. Media bandwidth small for now. Will try out the VPS for the media for now. Have other uses for VPS as well.

Will learn as I go. Sorry, just have a need to get things done and off my plate. I tend to go for quickest and eziest solution… even if it costs more… if I can afford it. ??

There is probly not much for me to explain because you code, did this plugin for YT, know all how to do API… and it’s the same principle applied to another 3rd party.

Appreciate a quote for customization in extension.

*I burned out on this whole thing… and am focused on working with volunteers at this time.

I will definitely turn around to consider blubrry as an interim solution. I will eventually have 24/7 livestream coming out of my internet radio station… and I would like to make available to each volunteer an ez podcast creation for them.

Clearly, I will eventually outgrow 3rd party media hosting eventually… due to the high volume of storage required. Yet, it is my pleasure to provide this for those who volunteer… that they could publish their livestream.

At that point, I will either park this site onto a media server with managed WordPress (I’ve seen those) or something. Yet, I will do an interim step rather than overbuy server hosting today if that is a solution.

As I say… my focus is on helping the volunteers set up at this time and working with them… and could use the extension for a time period.

Thank you Angelo! Yes, it is simply that when I look at an option… I have to consider how much time this would delay production and working fully with volunteers. Plus, is this something that I could see, know, and understand quickly… or is it at the level of learning a second language that takes time?? As I have looked at it… this is not something that appears to me is so easy – more like learning a second language.

I appreciate your efforts there. Yet the instructions on your site are not user friendly except to coders. Those are not instructions that a WordPress user can implement into a solution. That level coding would mean learning a second language.

So, I need a different solution and to move forward.

I have no more time to spend seeking a solution for upload of my podcast files to an outside media hosting company.

So, I am considering moving my sites to high priced server hosting with Rackspace… and their cloud CDN… and whatnot.

I must go to production. And I expect explosive growth. So, it’s fine cuz Rackspace will handle explosive growth.

I will only turn around to consider hosting files outside of WordPress if I can do so from Gravity Form.

I need front end podcast post creation for my volunteers. (They cannot create posts from admin panel… they lack the skill.)

I won’t work outside of front end mp3 upload podcast creation from the front end for my purposes.

I do not know how to plug the API into this plugin… to make it work for my purposes.
