    Hi,

I just tried to update the NG gallery to the newest version 2.0.33

Still same isue, After the installation the CPU load is going high on the MySQLd process. (Long loading time of the website)

So, did again a rollback to version 1.9.xx and the server is running normal again..

Is there stil no sollution for this problem?

    Cheers!

    Laurence

glad i’m not the only one…

We’ve got a dedicated server in the Netherlands at Versio.nl .

    here are the server specs:

    MySQL 5.5.29 Running
    Named 9.8.2rc1 Running
    ProFTPd 1.3.4b Running
    dovecot 2.1.12 Running
    Php 5.3.20 Installed

I’m not able to install 2.0.13 of nextgen.
This because the website is almost not accessible. and the server is going to crash. then we can not login with SSH to fix the problem and the hosting company (Versio) needs to do a hard reboot.

The load is everyday high.. (above the 70%) with in the morning and evening up to 350% or even higher!

Now, with the old version of NextGEN ?? the load is good.. it is beneath the 2.5% of CPU usage.

    Hi Erick,

    Thnx for the reply,

I’m using the normal version of NegtGEN

Disabled all the plugins except the NextGen stil slows down the website with almoast 10 sec
if I disable the NextGEN plugin the website loads within 3 sec.

We resize the image before uploading them to 800×533 px or 800×600 px with a size of +/- 250KB

In the server the load is extremely high if NextGEN 2.0 or higher is installed and disabled (sometimes 300% CPU usage)

For now I downgrade to version 1.9.xx because this version don’t have the high load… But i will try the new 2.0.x version when there is a fix for this.
