In reply to: [Custom Login] Question about the form box validationI have a different problem.
The web host of the site that I have been working on has suddenly blacklisted my IP address. I called Bluehost and they told me the error message I got is usually a result of malware.
The message I get is:
“Access denied. Your IP address [67.80.31.55] is blacklisted. If you feel this is in error please contact your hosting providers abuse department.”
My first thought was that the host thought I was trying to hack in because of all the modifications on the log in page. I’ve been working on the log in page almost all day today.
I contacted BlueHost who said I need my client to call them to “white list” my IP address.
Is there any other reason for this to happen?

In reply to: [Custom Login] Question about the form box validationI just tested the log in screen on a site where I don’t have the plugin installed, and I entered a blank username and password and the log in screen just reloads, so I guess this is normal.

In reply to: [Custom Login] Question about the form box validationHi Austin,
No, I don’t have any other plugins that have anything to do with the login page at all and I have the plugin installed on many websites.
I noticed the following though:
If I enter a blank username and password, it just reloads the login page.
If I enter either an invalid username or password, it WILL “shake” and give me an error message.
So I guess I’m just questioning when I hit enter on a blank log in screen.

In reply to: [Custom Login] Replacing the WordPress logoI’m having the same problem. Next time, I’m waiting a couple of weeks before I upgrade any plugins. Aren’t these changes tested before releasing them to the public. It was working beautifully before, and now there’s no logo at all. Is there a way to adjust this in the settings.

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Plugin stopped workingSimon,
I upgraded to 1.8.3 and it seems to be working well again in all browsers. I first deleted it, and then reinstalled it as a new plugin.
In one of my websites, something odd happened, but I was able to stop it. When I was searching for a particular blog post category, I heard a strange repetitive sound. I heard it while I was in archive mode after searching for a tag. Very strange. I went back to the plugin settings and unchecked the “Loop” option and a couple other settings. Then it seemed to stop. If it happens again, I’ll let you know, but it plays very well again.
Thanks Simon,
Laura

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Plugin stopped workingHi Simon,
The latest version of the plugin you mention (1.8.3) does not yet seem available yet on my dashboard of the sites I’m having trouble with. The current version I have is 1.7.3. Is this why I’m having problems?
Will it be available soon through my www.ads-software.com dashboard?

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Plugin stopped workingDoesn’t this plugin have a flash fallback for Firefox? That might explain why it doesn’t work in Firefox.

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Plugin stopped workingIs it because Firefox only supports .ogg audio files? I just upgraded to Firefox 20 which is the latest Firefox version.
Can you look into this?
Thanks,
Laura

In reply to: [Social Media Icons Widget] Just upgraded. Now get an errorSame thing just happened to me. Please fix this. I will never again update a plugin, unless I know it will work.
Please look into this, and do a re-release, because I am not handy with mucking with PHP code.
Thanks.

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Plugin stopped working but resumed after reposting shortcodeThe plugin just started working again on my website! See if it’s back on yours! I’d still like to know what happened.

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Plugin stopped working but resumed after reposting shortcodeNot, yet. I can’t understand why this should happen. Maybe I was just lucky to get it to work again. I have another website with this plugin installed and the same thing happened. It just doesn’t work anymore for no apparent reason.
I had another .mp3 plugin installed and that one is working so far, but because it is a Flash plugin, it doesn’t work on the iPad. I wish I knew the answer to this.

In reply to: [Simple Image Widget] Compatible wih 3.5?Hi lewisscrafton,
According to Brady from this plugin thread:
“You can still target the widget using CSS. I believe the old version had an extra div that had the class you referenced, but the main widget class is still the same so you can use it to apply styles to your widgets. This should work:
.widget_simpleimage {
text-align: center;
}
You may need to adjust that depending on your theme or target the image specifically if you don’t want all of the widget’s contents centered. Hope that helps.– Brady”
